Ars Magica, anyone?

Are there any potential Ars Magica players in here? I would be interested in a group; whether to join or to found. I haven't played in a long-term saga for twenty years, so it is about time. My time is GMT+2 in Summer, and I am only available evenings for synchronous play. I reckon a combination of asynchronous (play by post) and synchronous (voice) play is best for Ars Magica. If we found the group, I could start as SG, or not. Troupe style/rotating SG is optimal in my opinion. On most aspects, like setting and rule options, I am adaptable.
As someone who's quite interested in the Ars Magica gameline and the general mythos of Mythic Europe. I'd love to join as a first time player. I've got the books, I've got the willingness to play. But I've never found a Gamemaster to run it. So at the very least, I'd like to throw my name into the ring here.
Hi there, I've played a lot of games but not Ars Magica. Would be great if I got a chance to try it! I really like the idea of a rotating SG and would gladly take a turn at it.
I want in.
Cool. That makes four of us. That is enough to start I think, although I shall try to recruit 1-3 more. I'll try to set up a game and discord server within the near future, and see if we can get some players via the Ars Magica fora. Any opinions as to style of game, location, etc.? Politics? Exploration of uncharted lands? Faerie stories? Church relations? Infernal influences? Combat? I have a bootstrap idea, almost ready to play, set in Stonehenge (England) with magi from the continent, but most story ideas can be shifted to other locations, so most locations are possible. Personally, I prefer the North Sea area, but within reach of the civilised Roman magical traditions; that gives us Stonehenge, Rhine, and Normandy. Normandy is low on magical resources; Stonehenge has more to spare; while the Rhine I have not read much about.
I'm interested! Like you, I haven't played a campaign of AM for 20 years. But, there is always a But, I'm in the GMT -7 timezone. I'd like to play, but would definitely wait to see what time was decided on before asking to jump in. I have editions 2-5 on my shelf.
Anything besides combat.
I'd love to play, i've made a character before but the game never started so i haven't played. Obviously this depends on days available.
I'd be keen to play too - I've got various versions of the rule-set and ran a short campaign of it (maybe 20 yrs ago) but never had a chance to play. I'd be happy to try the rotating SG thing and a base in Britain sounds great to me. I'm in the UK but fairly flexible about times (semi-retired).
I have set up a concept: https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/4522335/venture-in-stonehenge Those who have expressed interest have received Discord co-ordinates by PM. We can do preliminary discussion there, about session times as well as character concepts. If the link expires, feel free to repost or PM or whatever. If nobody drops out, we are full, but it does not hurt to express interest if you haven't so far.
If you still got some more room to spare. I would gladly take part.
Hello George L., Just wanted to let you know, campaign links like the one you provided, which take the form of https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/... , links people to the 'Game Details' page for your game. By default such a link is only visible to players already in the game, and only Plus and Pro subscribers can make their games visible to the public . However, no one can post to your game forums unless they're already in your game. As such, we recommend using the LFG Listing link, which takes the form of https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/1234567/BlahBl... and links people to the LFG Listing for your game. You get this link by creating a LFG Directory Listing . This is the desired link to share for pretty much every purpose one can think of. Even if you do not enable it for viewing in the LFG Directory you can share the link with others and have a separate Listing Discussion forum just for those potentially interested in your game. As a bonus, anyone who posts to your game's Listing Discussion forum will have a big blue button by their username and all a GM has to is click 'Invite to Game' and an invitation will be sent their way. An example of a game that is not enabled is https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/100394/testing-mctesterson We hope this information helps. Best!
I'm interested, but I'm in GMT-8 time zone, which pretty much limits me to weekends. I used to play 4th ed; haven't played since that was updated.
It seems that we have a full group for now, so sorry, Avarita and Elf. Maybe we expand the group when we have a little experience; we'll see.
