24/04/19: ONLY ONE SPACE LEFT! 27/04/2019: The game is now full. Due to so much demand I am looking to run a second campaign. If you are interested drop me a private message and what days you'd be able to attend so I can get this organised ASAP. Just to quickly preface this post, this is a paid for group. Due to work/life balance if I did not charge I would not be able to give my 100% to being the best GM I can be for you people. With that said the first session of the campaign will be free to let you get a feel of me as a GM. Game listing: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/157611/tomb-of-annihilation-quick-start-enter-into-the-world-of-d-and-d The Module Let me give you a little rundown of the Tomb of Annihilation module! A death curse plaguing all of the world emanates from the jungle island of Chult. Preventing resurrections and slowly killing anyone who was previously saved. Ancient ruins and hordes of undead fill the mostly unexplored and dangerous jungles. The mercantile city of Port Nyanzaru stands as a bastion of civilization on the northern edge of the jungle. Somewhere in Chult, with every lost soul succumbing to the curse, the Tomb of Annihilation grows ever more powerful! No other module in 5e is quite like this. The biggest thing that makes this module stand out is the hex based open world exploration which forms a large portion of the campaign. You will be one the first adventurers to truly explore the Chultuan peninsula, with many secrets and treasure to uncover. This game is open for veterans and new players alike! the campaign will start at level 1 and finish the module at level 11, with the option of continuing on into home brew content all the way to 20 afterward. What is Quick Start? This is something I have used during my many years as a GM. It is the perfect way for new players to get into the game and not feel overwhelmed by choice. When you join you will receive an hour of my time when it suits you. We will talk through potential characters and find something that individually suits you. No need to pore over every book. Even experienced players will make use of this, as when the day of the session comes everyone will be ready to go! No need to spend more than 30 minutes of the first session finalising characters. About The game I run will be approximately 50% game mechanics, 30% roleplay, 20% puzzles but a 100% chance for character death. This is one of the most difficult modules 5e has to offer. So, don't get too attached to your characters. There is very little that is unfair but one small mistake can lead to permanent injuries or death. However, if death does happen a new character can just be dropped straight in, so keep you creative muscles flexing by thinking up potential new adventurers! Game Information When : Played Weekly Sundays 3PM GMT (Time is flexible, the group will have a discussion before the first session but the day is not) How Long : 3-4 Hour Sessions. These may overrun, if there are major time constraints please let me know before hand Communication : Discord, Microphone Required Starting Level : 1 (Finishing the tomb at the mighty level of 11) Party Size : 5 Cost : £10 per session paid via paypal As per Roll 20s code of conduct "This game will require payment of £10 per session paid to the game master via paypal to participate. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements." First session will be free and include finalisation of character creation! Building Your Character •Start at level 1 •Use any Race/Class from any officially printed WoTC Book. • Stats will be generated using either "point buy" or "standard set" of 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 •You will part of an elite party but your character MUST have a reason to be with a group of other adventurers. So, no lone wolves or "evil" characters. However, there are no restrictions on alignment but your character should not be the cause for excessive friction or drama. "Just because it's what my character would do" is not an excuse for bad behaviour. • The character creation will be finalised in the first session Many GMs will place much stricter limitations on character creation, however I believe DnD 5E is very much balanced as is. So, I like to give as much creative freedom as possible. Plus my many years experience with the system has given me a fine eye for designing encounters to highlight the parties strengths while challenging their weaknesses. As stated before this module will be challenging but not unfair. There is more information contained on the listing but this post is already running pretty long! If you're interested just drop a post below and I'll get in contact with you or alternatively go through to the group listing link and post in the application thread!
