Hey guys. My name's Gray and I've been DMing for about 12 years- mostly with 3.5 and Pathfinder. I'm looking for self-motivated players who want to interact with the world more than they want to kill things. To be blunt, my games are MUCH more roleplay driven than combat/rollplay driven. Like 85/15 split. My schedule is currently open for the most part, and for this group, I will need yours to be as well. Since I'm asked each time this is posted, I'll clarify: There is not a set date to play. We will play when enough (Usually ~2/3rds) of the group is online and wanting to play. Recaps are done every session to catch up anything that's missed, so you don't have to worry about that too much. I'm aiming to play multiple times a week, so high availability is necessary. As a point of reference, I am in CT -06:00, so keep that in mind I suppose.  As far as race and class restrictions go, I greatly prefer that players choose more "normal" races for their first character with me. Basically, a race that commonly appears in nearly every campaign you may have played in DnD- no monster races, obviously. I need to learn how they play without any gimmicks in the way. Once I'm comfortable with you, however, I'm open to most anything so long as the group is okay with it. As far as Classes go, Gunslinger, Summoner, Magus and some Occult classes are banned, but most all others are available. We'll of course be using Roll20 for the map and sheets and such, and Discord for voice communication. So, if this sounds like something that interests you, I'd love to hear back from you- new players especially. Make sure to include availability in your message as well as what you like to do as a player and what kind of games you enjoy. Hope to hear from you guys soon.  -Gray (And for any of you curious as to what Pathfinder is, I best sum it up as a much more polished and expanded on version of DnD 3.5. It is more complicated than 5e, but it allows you to do so much more with it. I've taught many a new player how to play, so don't feel like you're going to have to learn everything at once and on your own.)
Hey, I wonna join, but I'm pretty new to Pathfinder.
I'd like to join up with a heavy roleplaying game, I've never done anything with tabletop so you'd be starting with someone who is entirely new. With the research I've done I'd like to do a rogue but I'm going to continue looking into it. I'm on mountain time and available from 10:00-23:00 mountain which I believe is 09:00-22:00 central?
This sounds like my kind of game. I'm a forever GM and would like to roleplay as a player for once. My availability is very high except for one game I DM weekly. My Discord is Emma#1029
I’m very new to Roll20 and highly available throughout the week after 6pm (PST). I’ve played some 5e sessions but not enough to really know the difference between that and pathfinder. I would to learn more because I do enjoy role playing a lot and I would like to explore a lot as to what else there to experience with other classes. Discord MartyCoolstar#8061
Sounds like my kinda game, I am so tired of joining games and the characters are Freak Force Five. Me: What are you playing? Player 1: A ratfolk ninja. Me: Er....okay and you? Player 2: Oh I'm a tengu bloodrager! Me: ... I see...how about you? Player 3: I'm a cat! Me: Right, so nobody is a core race, or core class. Group: Nope that's boring and unfun too tee-hee! Me: God help me.. Or you sign up for an immersive game and get the wacky meme people. Me: My warrior grips his sword right and cleaves into the demon, he yells, "BEGONE!" Player 3: Thot. I just want a game I can get in character and play. So I'll zip you my discord info, if depending on the time, I'm up for a game.
Do you allow psionics?

I'd like to try a more RP-focused campaign athough in the past I've been more of a hack n' slash campaign player and only have limited experience really trying to get into character and RP heavily and tend to be a bit shy in game especially around new people  so you may have to bear with me a bit but I would like to get better at RPing a character and getting more into the story aspect of the game. As for availability I currently am unavailable  Monday and Tuesday evenings and   Sat Afternoons and Sunday evening. Other times than that I could usually play. I am in eastern timezone and can play til about 12-1AM EST on weekdays (somewhat later if needed on weekend).  DC: Lythaeri#9787
I've got no experience in Pathfinder personally, but I don't think I'd really mind learning a slightly more complicated system (I'm the mechanics junkie of my circle of friends, so I rapidly burn through everything 5e has to offer me) albeit similar to the one I'm used to for a game. I'm free everyday except on Saturdays where I do have a 5e game going with a longtime group of friends, and I am down with a ton of role playing as long as people are doing their part to participate and keep it from awkward silences (just recently left a "high rp" game like that).  Anyway, if you wouldn't mind teaching a new player then I'd be 100% down to join your new group.
I have great availablity, except sundays, where I play a 3.5 game weekly. I have always preferred rping over combat, although combat can be enjoyable, just to much of it can be a drag. I have never played a game of pathfinder before so I would be completely new but I am keen to learn the system. I enjoy rping because that's where all the fun is really, all the antics, inside jokes, how the story moves and evolves, etc, etc, happens way more then it does in combat.
My name is Jade (real name) and I've known about Pathfinder for 8 years and played seriously for 6. I loved the system as soon as I learned it and my first experience was online in a virtual tabletop like Roll20 with some guys. The game only lasted a couple of days before the DM fell out for whatever reasons, but one of the guys really liked the way I was roleplaying (we were the only ones putting any effort into it with voicing our characters and everything) and invited me to this high difficulty homebrew game he'd been working on since he was a teenager. I took him up on the offer and that became my second game of pathfinder I ever played, and that one lasted for over a year and a half until I had to stop due to school taking away my time and focus. It was probably the most enjoyable time I ever had playing a game right after this one perfect summer when I discovered Diablo 2 for the first time and got a Paladin to level 98. Anyway, I was still kind of new to pathfinder at the time so you could understand how I learned how to run before I could walk with that challenging homebrew keeping me cautious and studious for a year and a half. Ever since then i've been playing on and off but more often than not, and it still feels like a fresh and exciting game after all this time with ideas I still haven't tried yet. I'm currently coming off a hiatus of playing because of work reasons but looking to get back in a quality adventure I used to enjoy regularly with a few groups before my work break with some lasting 2 years and one AP from beginning to completion (Curse of the Crimson Throne as a half-orc paladin of Abadar) and i'm eager to make this the one. I would say that my style of play is a very relaxed and casual one. I don't recall a time when I ever experienced animosity between myself and a player or a DM before, i'm not confrontational at all and dislike arguments so I actively try to avoid that kind of thing when I play. I feel like other people have seen me as someone positive or silly like my characters have been usually, and I gravitate towards playing kind and helpful ones because it's easy to replicate my own nature when I roleplay. I've reached out and played different kinds of roles in the past 6 years of my experience though, it's hardest for me to play evil and selfish well but I have done it in games where it's required. I can play a character very seriously, but out of character some of my light-heartedness slips out because it's hard to keep in the fun i'm having when a game is run well and the players are all on the same page about things. Overall i'd say that the reason people and myself play this game is to get together with some decent folk, and tell a story together by watching it unfold with individual actions from group decisions made by people playing out characters of their fantasies (maybe some geek culture discussion inbetween sessions and a tiny bit during?) and that pretty much sums up my playstyle of choice! I always pride myself on my attendance since all my years of play i've had no bad reason not to show up to game, and unless there's a very rare family emergency or I feel too sick to play which is also very rare, I intend to keep a reputation for good attendance when I join games. Like I said, the only reason I had to leave my second ever pathfinder campaign that lasted for a year and a half was because of school getting in the way but since it's over now it won't be an issue again. I'm not the kind of guy to get into a game that I can't predict the stability of my attendance for, so it's not much of a concern with this one either. People get busy and I understand that as well. The only times campaigns that i've been in have ended were because of other people not showing up or dealing with life things and having to stop being there. Even in the longer campaigns i've been in have seen faces come and go, but eventually we  found other good stable players like ourselves and we enjoy a pleasant period of uninterrupted weekly sessions where everyone can make it and people rarely have something come up. We all agreed on a time out of our weeks to enjoy something as a group after all, so it would be rude not to show up unless there was a legitimate emergency or sickness keeping that from happening and that's how I feel about showing up and missing sessions. I've got a good mic and good character personalities or so i'm told, and finding the groove of a character i've made and roleplaying it each session is one of my favorite things to do. Fun first is my philosophy and as long as everyone gets along and enjoys themselves, it's a good time no matter how it's done and that's all I care about. If the sound of a very relaxed and helpful member of your group of players is to your liking then I think you'll be in a good spot to give me a try. I don't have much references to offer, but I think the hours played listed in my profile could say something about my dependability and how agreeable people seem to feel I am! Thanks again for taking a look at my submission and considering me, I hope it's an enjoyable experience for everyone involved no matter what! If you ever feel like contacting me to talk about the game or swapping stories, just shoot me a PM/reply to this post. Very open schedule for any day preferring mornings or evenings if possible but really anytime works fine.

Very interested in this game but have a question. What is the setting for the game?  Would it be the base pathfinder setting or something of your own creation?   My only problem with some PF groups I join is everyone will agree to not be super spreadsheet optimized then you have that one character who walks through combat and makes it hell for the GM to ever balance.   Totally ok with the base races and the cut down selection of classes because it cuts down on the part of pathfinder that tends to scare me. Mondo#7308 is my discord
I am interested, I have lots of years of experience. I have lots of DM experience with pathfinder as well. I am in Central and mostly avilable. What I am looking for is heavy RP, combat is fun and all but I do like character interactions between PCs and the like. As for what I want to play: Elf Arcane Trickster.
I'd be interested in playing since I am familiar with pathfinder rules and don't mind heavy RP elements. Be awesome if it were to happen in the evening also like to play as a half-orc witch, time zone is CDT.
