Looking for Players! MORDHEIM

Twenty years ago, Mordheim was released by Games Workshop, and I had the privilege of working for the company at one of the retail stores in the US. I was the "Scout" and I was tasked with learning Mordheim and teaching it to the staff, and anyone interested in learning. I hosted regular Wednesday and Sunday Games for the two years that the game ran. Now, here I am 20 years later still obsessed with the game! I thought that it might be interesting to play again, but with the models being hard to find, and not many substitutes exist. I thought about Roll20, but then I thought that the 2D board didn't lend itself to the game. I have rethought this stance and was hoping I might be able to find some players interested in the game anyway. Here is what I am suggesting. We start a standard campaign, utilizing only the original Core Rulebook. This means anything from the Town Cryer and White Dwarf magazines would be off limits to this campaign. I would like to find between 7 additional players, someone to play each of the warbands (Reikland, Middenheim, Marineburg, Possessed, Undead, Witch Hunter, Skaven, and Sister of Sigmar). My idea is that we would set up six boards per game, and 1 game per scenario. As a group, we would meet around 1 pm Sundays (EST), determine opponents, roll for scenarios, do battle, score the game, and play another game. Since the game takes about 20 minutes to play, plus ten minutes to level up, explore, etc. We could probably play two to four games a week without much issue. To end the game we can have a tournament, to determine the winner. If the game is successful, we can start to add additional scenarios, warbands, and the like. Maybe even create an online journal about our game. The following Warbands have been claimed Possessed Undead Sister of Sigmar Skaven Middenheimers We are looking for: Reiklanders (The military group) https://app.roll20.net/lfg/search/Mordheim?days=&dayhours=&frequency=&timeofday=&timeofday_seconds=&language=Any&avpref=Any&gametype=Any&newplayer=false&yesmaturecontent=false&nopaytoplay=false&playingstructured=&sortby=relevance&for_event=&roll20con=
Still need 2! Witch Hunter Marienburgers, and if someone wants Middenhermers are open!
Hey, this idea sounds really interesting. Can we talk about it tomorrow on priv?
Not sure what Priv is, but we can talk sure
No experience with this game at all, but always interested to learn something new and down to have a good time!
New players are welcome.
priv means on private :)
To introduce myself as a gamer, I'm a longtime fan of Warhammer. I started playing WFRP in 1999 and I still run games with half of my original team. I collect 4/5th edition WFB miniatures and I played Mordheim for a while when WFB 6th edition was still live.
Ah, I old and have no kids in my life, so i don't get much slang. I though Priv might be a new Discord.
Dakota, if you still want in all you need to do is to apply!
