Campaign Security

Hi D20 Team, love your engine, we just founded the very first "Das schwarze Auge" group for Roll20 in Germany, it seems and we can't wait getting into it. One thing that came to my mind though is campaign security. As for the moment anyone with the link (and a R20 account) can get into any campaign. My 2 feature requests: 1) GM approval of new players trying to join a campaign 2) GM kick players out of a campaign Best rgs Stefan
While I have no actual issues with this, I would like, if something were to be done with this, for it to be an option rather than standard. Making people sign up or approve people for a game makes the process a lot less open and friendly.
Approval or kick abilities are something that's being considered, but if it's adopted it will be a longterm goal. At the very least, for the duration of the beta it will probably remain open, so treat your links like you would a password and share or publicly post at your own risk. The dev team is considering different options for some added security, such as the ability to generate a new link if you become compromised, but nothing's been decided yet. We're always open to feedback, so remember to upvote/downvote or comment if you feel strongly one way or another ( Or, have alternate suggestions ) Thanks!
I suggest that GMs should have an option on their campaign that says "Players require approval to participate", and if someone isn't approved, then they can't do anything at all. Including speak. Also, the ability to mute, boot, and ban problematic people. Also, a "Change Campaign URL" button. Easy.
For the time being before these features are implemented, if you are having trouble with somebody accessing your campaign when you don't want them there, you can sort-of change the URL by cloning your campaign through 'copy/extend campaign' (and remember to bring all the assets - they should be auto-ticked anyway).
