I was interested in starting up a short campaign based around artifacts in modern times.

It's a plot that's been done to death, but one that should be able to entertain for a few sessions.  I'm thinking more of a mini-series of a campaign where it would only go on for some sessions before being finished.  The game would really be played in a role playing sense and using dice to decide the normal things, but it would require a few people willing to play who would be able to play at the same time.  Before a plot is even made, I'm wondering if people would be interested.
What system are you talking about? it sounds intresting.
I was going to use the ever loved "Really basic" DnD set up.  Roll for stats at the the start of the first session, d20 around things and use really creative guesses with your random artifact. The last thing isn't so basic, but that's the premise of the game.
Since this got buried I'll bump it up, if it gets no replies before being buried again, I'll leave it and scrap the artifact short-series campaign idea.
