Broken Avatar in Journal Uneditable

Hey y'all- I searched but can't find anything about how to fix this. The image I attached to the Journal entry for one of my characters (Campaign: From Simple Beginnings) is broken. I try to click on it while in the Edit Journal for my character, but the broken icon is too small and there is no option to remove it so I can replace it. I think I know part of the problem: I switch my personal avatar depending on what campaign I play in. It seems each time I change my avatar, it adds that avatar to my Library. I've deleted the repeated images (they end up in there like 4 and 5 times each) and think I must've deleted the one that the Journal was tied to (though I still have another copy of the image in my Library). Not sure if this is supposed to happen, but figure it's where I messed up. Now I just need to know how to fix it... Thanks for the assist ahead of time... havard

Hi, If you hover your mouse in the area of the image you should see 'Remove' in the top right corner of the image area. If you do not please include a screenshot so I can try to see what is going wrong.  - Gauss
Ha! Embarrassed to admit I had to figure out how to take a screenshot first... I'm clearly in EDIT mode (as the Save Changes at the bottom attests) and the Avatar icon is too small and does not have a "remove" spot. My personal icon I can change in my account settings, which is where I usually do my changes (as I said, I use different avatars for different campaigns). Not sure how to grab that little thing, but I've spent considerable time hovering my mouse over it and don't get any options.

Could you please send me a PM with your campaign's Join Link? I am having a difficult time replicating this and would like to take a look. - Gauss
I think I actually know what caused this and have attempted to push out a fix for it. Tell me if you're now able to mouse-over where that broken image icon is (under the "Avatar" heading) and if a "Remove" button appears that you can click.
Hey Riley- Gauss and I started talking about this in PM. It seems that I WAS able to upload an avatar to my character in a journal that my GM created for me (I'm not the GM) and Gauss seemed to think this was a bug-- that the GM puts the avatars on the journals. He told me that only the GM can remove the Avatar, but he wanted to see the problem from in the game if he could. I'm waiting for my GM to send me the join link so I can forward it on to y'all in PM so you can see what the problem is before I ask him to take it out. I honestly think the problem was caused by this: I change avatars for different games and keep the images on my computer. The images reload into my Library on Roll20 each time I do this and I end up with the same avatar in my library a dozen times (times the number of games I play in...) so I started deleting them from my Roll20 library. I have a feeling I deleted the image that the avatar was linked to and this created the problem. Going to wait until the GM sends the link before asking him to delete the old avatar, if he can get the 'Remove' link up on his end so  y'all can get in and look around to see what's what. Thanks for the answers-- as I told Gauss in PM, it's not really anything that affects playability in any way, so it's not a pressing issue. I'm happy to leave it broken until you guys say you've seen what you need to.
Ironically, I also can't find a way to load a different avatar from my library onto my personal account-- it seems they upload to my library but I can't then pull them to there-- BROWSE sends me back to my computer, not to my Roll20 library...so I can't figure out a way to not duplicate the avatar endlessly unless I just decide to stick with one avatar...

Havstar, to stop endlessly loading do the following (this presumes you are GM): Step 1: Open your Journal and click edit.  Step 2: Go to the Art Library tab (sidebar) and type in the search bar the keyword for the image you wish to use. Note: If you click on the black star it brings up the Art Library Manager. You cannot drag images from the Manager.  Step 3: Drag the image from the Art Library (sidebar) to the Avatar section of the Journal.  Step 4: Save the Journal. - Gauss
Yeah it's not really set up for players to have an "Art Library" in games they aren't GMing. If you are the GM of the game, you can use the Art Library tab to search for things on the web + things you've previously uploaded, and drag and drop them from there into the avatar slots (to avoid having to re-upload over and over again).
I'm not changing the Avatars in the journals, guys. I'm changing the avatar that goes with my Personal Account. That's what's loading the endless copies to my Library. If here is a way to load from my libary rather than from my computer for that, it'll stop the endless copies. I get that the GM will have to fix the issue in games I play in. I'm wondering if there's a way to fix the issue-- other than choosing not to use different avatars when I'm playing different games-- of changing my personal account avatar without it copying to library every time. (If you've noticed, it's changed twice since I posted this-- once for the game I GM'ed last night and once in anticipation of the game tomorrow night.) If I'm doomed to staying with the same avatar, I'll manage, but I've enjoyed matching my avatar to my character when I'm playing and to my GM-images when I GM for those who keep the image frames above the macrobar open while they play.

Oh, then I was confused since I thought we were talking about the Journal problem. My bad. :) Yeah, each time you change your Personal Account Avatar it adds the new image to the Art Library. I do not think there is a way around this.  - Gauss
