It looks like you have a couple of willing and capable applicants already, but I'd like to throw my name in the hat in case another spot becomes open at some point. My Background: Midwestern, born in '77 and raised outside Cincinnati. After completing my bachelors in Philosophy I did some world travel and lived for half a decade or so in NYC and L.A, working in a variety of industries. Currently back home outside Cincinnati. I enjoy music, musing, medium-length walks on the beach, and spending time with my two huskies. ;) My Gaming Experience: I've been playing and DM'ing D&D for approaching 30 years, now. 2nd Ed. through 5e (plus Pathfinder, CoC, SW, WoD, etc). I'm extremely interested in what you highlight in your profile regarding the study of gaming (as a philosophy student, my interests are likely quite in line with your own as suggested by your dissertation topic). Myself as a player: Exceedingly story focused, but I'm flexible enough for a dungeon crawl. I can find beauty and fun in a rather wide range of game/play styles. I'm most interested in being a part of - and promoting - a tight knit group that works together, sharing the spotlight as a unit rather than a collection of individuals. I generally have no preference for class or race, but instead tend to find the niche that is 'missing' in a party (even if that is 'leader', but I tend to be more 'glue'). I play my stats and background. If I'm the clever rogue then expect intelligent solutions and emergent, daring awesomeness. If I'm the brooding, illiterate barbarian, expect a lot of hulk-smash and less pontificating. :) Thank you for the consideration, and best of luck and fun in your continuing adventure!
