When working with map layers it's kinda nice to be able to drop NPCs characters monsters etc on the GM layer to visually remind you what is there, you sometimes need to move these items from the GM layer to the object layer. This is especially true of game modules on roll 20 it seems. At the moment when you are working on the object layer, you first have to switch layer to GM layer right-click the object change its layer, and change back to the object layer before you can further interact with it. This can be somewhat troublesome and time-consuming, and even a bit irritating if you have multiple things/NPC/monsters hidden on the GM layer that will not all appear at the same time. I propose two possible solutions to this problem with basically the same basic idea, as it seems CTRL + mouse click at the moment does not have a specific function attached to it one could use CTRL+left-click and CTRL+rick-click and CTRL+left-click+drag select and interact specifically with objects on the GM overview layer. The other solution I could possibly foresee working well but would be slightly more cumbersome programmatically would be that CTRL+mouse-Click would work in a top-down small to large way: ctrl+right-click+drag selects only what fits entirely inside the selected area irregardless of what layer it's on. selecting multiple objects ctrl+right-click will select the first object from the top down and smallest object to the largest. ctrl+right-click+shift selects additional objects and functions as above ctrl+right-click works similarly for the right-click menu
