Copy Paste Token Groups Not Working

Greetings devs, Sorry to alert you to this, but since the update you all released on the new interface, I have been unable to copy and paste sets of tokens in the layout I copy them in. For example, if I copy a single 1x1 tile and 4 1x1 tiles surrounding each side of it, and then copy paste them to another location on the map, they all end up occupying the same 1x1 tile, thus eliminating most of the speed with which I can construct maps.  I hope we can figure out what it is. Because before the update to the new interface, it worked like a charm. Love you guys.

I have also noticed this behavior and I will file a bug report. Thanks :) - Gauss
This should be fixed now. When you paste a group of objects, they will keep their relative positions to each other. In addition. if you click on the tabletop before pasting them, the center of the object group that is pasted will be wherever you clicked.
Thank you guys so much! I really appreciate the fix! Works like it should now. =] I have been meaning to ask about another aspect of this that seemed to change from the last update you guys did. It used to be that when I pasted a group of tiles and then selected them all to move them, they would snap to a grid. This was super helpful in covering large amounts of map background space very quickly. They no longer do that. Each tile that is pasted and moved must then be individually selected to snap to the grid. Is that a feature that was intentional and requested by the community or could it potentially be another bug? Just thought I'd mention it.

Jesse, I believe it was an intentional change. Before: snap to grid (applied to groups) would cause individual units in the group to snap to odd places. The relative positions of the units in the group was not maintained. This frustrated people and it was asked to be fixed. Now: snap to grid (applied to groups) does not work for groups but you can more readily snap the individual units in a group to the grid.  I think the change is a compromise. Time will tell if it is an improvement. - Gauss
That makes sense. I can see why that would be effective for tokens. I wonder if they would consider adding an alternate button activated function to switch between the two modes so that  large areas of map backgrounds can still snap into place. Seems to be the best of both worlds.

Yeah, I'd also like to see an option to have groups snap to grid. I often use tile images for my background and it was nice to make a row, group them, and the copy/paste that down the map. Now I have to do it a tile at a time which is a huge pain.

That's pretty much the main reason I miss it. Maybe some day we'll have both options. =]
