
“Do what you want cause a pirate is free – you are a pirate!” Summary: This is a character-centric Pathfinder game using the Skull & Shackles adventure path as a foundation for the campaign. We need a replacement for a player who left due to scheduling issues. About me: My name is Roman, I have 7 years of TTRPG experience, mostly as a GM, often running two or more campaigns a week. I've played and GM'd Pathfinder, D&D 5e, Rogue Trader, Shadowrun, Eclipse Phase, Numenera and many other games - both online and offline. I prefer semi-sandbox campaigns that focus on roleplaying, acting, and character development, so you can expect more freedom than what a usual adventure path provides. I won't make any drastic changes to the AP, but I will tailor it a bit to player preference. My job is to immerse you into the setting, hopefully make you care about the characters and the world around them - and to make it all fun for everyone involved. I'm also proficient with roll20 and can use all tools it provides. Scheduling: I live in GMT+3. I'm always available to play on Saturdays at the time set on roll20 and an average session lasts between 4 and 4.5 hours long. System: By default we will be using all official Paizo books, with everything allowed as long as the concept fits the campaign (an android Wizard/Technomancer, for example, would not fit well into this campaign). Unchained classes variants are allowed, and the only banned class is the default Summoner. Additional third party content will be considered on a case by case basis. Don't worry if you are not familiar with Pathfinder, I'll help you with character creation. Adventure path: Skull & Shackles Pathfinder Adventure Path is a pirate-themed campaign-long adventure. This campaign will take a group of adventurers on a daring journey of swashbuckling adventure, as they’ll rise from lowly crewmembers to pirate lords – because, as the name implies, this story is all about pirates. Yarr! Campaign: The campaign is semi-linear. This is an adventure path-based campaign, but your characters and their motivations will shape the future of this campaign. Anything can happen in the Shackles! For now we're roughly in the middle of the third chapter of the AP, but not every adventure follows the books. Character creation: You'll join the group at eighth level. We're using 20 point buy for ability scores. We use background skills system from pathfinder unchained, variant multiclassing is also available. Two traits + a third one for a flaw. Pay to play: Payments will be made per session a day before game time. Character creation will be free. Refunds will be provided if you cannot attend - no questions asked. The campaign is ongoing, as the group sails their own fearsome pirate ship on the waters of the Fever Sea. One player had to leave the game for scheduling reasons, and we need a replacement, it can be most any class - but a skill monkey would be ideal. Currently the group consists of inspired blade swashbuckler Holden, also known as captain Oblivious, halfling unchained summoned Gregon, human wildshaping-focused druid Farrin and a human divine hunter chakram-wielding paladin of Lymnieris Zurah Madani. The crew is mostly benevolent - they are not exatly heroes, but they are much more noble than your average pirate, and actively drawn towards heroic swashbuckling by their paladin. Important note: There are currently only four players, two of the "players" showing up on r20 are past players who stay in the r20 campaign to monitor the campaign they liked.
