[LF4P][EST][DND5E] The A:Men (inspired by a Crap Guide to DnD!) take on the Ghosts of Saltmarsh adventure!

Howdy folks, welcome to my dungeon! My name is Map, and I'm running a parody game of DND. As the name implies, the game is based off of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y84OYRwzZU8. I am in no way, shape, or form associated with JoCat, sponsoring him, or even JoCat himself. I do not own the material, I just work here. With that out of the way, lets move onto the game. The party will consist of Clerics, and ONLY Clerics. You can pick from any domain as long as its official, same with race (unless you're going with something that's monstrous, excluding the Aasimar. Monsters don't work out very well.) You start at first level, with starting class gold and background gold, absolutely no items (maybe a trinket), no exceptions. You roll for that gold and stats in the game lobby. Or you can take average gold and standard array for stats. The Ghosts of Saltmarsh game does have a narrative I wrote, but the game doesn't end with the narrative, as GoS was designed to run till 12th level. We'll be continuing on after that till max level, along the way I'll be firing off homebrew adventures at you till you are epic heroes of mythical proportions! Or the group sputters out. Whatever happens first. Game Formula: 40% Combat, 60% Roleplay, 100% Memetastic. Once the players have been assembled, we will have a session 0 to talk about the characters, and get to know one another. A long term campaign doesn't work if we can't stand each other. I hope to hear back from y'all real soon, stay cheesy my friends.
OH I forgot to mention, we'll be running every Saturday at 8PM EST (yes that's 15ish minutes from now, but I don't expect anyone to show up tonight unless its for character creation and meeting with the DM/players). Game should run close to a year long, depending on how much content we want to go through. I at least want to get through the GoS book and a few homebrew adventures. But I'm comfortable going beyond that.
YEEEEEEES PLZ. I'm a huge fan of JoCat's crap guides and his cleric video is my favorite. Even better is that GoS is one of the few adventure supplements I have never looked at (Usually the designated DM).
Alright, what did you have in mind? I'd like to reiterate because I've been asked four times for allowance of a Warforged cleric, that if its not in the core rulebooks as a playable race, and if its monstrous (excluding Aasimar), its a no from me. As well as Evil clerics, I don't want that kind of interparty crisis.
Sounds absolutely and amazingly awesome. I have no clue what I'd pick to begin with, because SO MANY of the Domains are awesome. My race would probs be a human or half elf though, regardless of that. Hit me up if this forum isn't already crowded with 20 people before I finish typing this! :D
Well there don't seem to be a lot of takers, so here we are. Again, so long as you don't pick anything evil or commit a bunch of crimes, you should be fine. Are you okay with a campaign that could run for a long time?
I'd prefer such a campaign! Especially with equally committed to fun people!
Alright well you seem to be squared away, I'll go ahead and shoot you the invite. Recruitment is now closed.
Hi Map, thank you for updating that. I'll be closing this thread, feel free to start a new one if the need arises again.
