I was thinking about using the D&D style. That is: Roll 4d6 and remove the lowest. It will (usually) giva an above-avg. character. I also like rolling a range of values and then putting them on the attributes you want I was not aware of any fixes to the bonus dice, but I think that limiting it to one bonus die is a good idea. If you roll a 6 on the bonus die, your value is 22 at the lowest, so adding more on top of that feels like a game breaker, especially with anyone doing team-characters. That said...I want people to have good characters. This is a hero-game after all, so if you roll poorly Ill probably let you re-roll. Then there is the math-part I currently use excel for character sheets. There is a lot of modifiers and changes to organize, from size level, bonus dice, team bonus, training, animal type etc. ...excel is good for this. I am working on a program to help out with everything, but for the moment it just handles some npc-stuff.
