Hey folks, I’ve been running a pretty successful dnd 5e group on roll20 and discord, with a party of five players being very active (almost) every Sunday for nearly two years. We finished two campaigns (Curse of Strahd and Dragon Heist), had several one-shots, and are currently delving into Undermountain with strong ties to events and consequences from Dragon Heist. However, we find ourselves lacking one or two players almost every sessions due to circumstances beyond their control. To that end, I’m considering expanding our roster a bit. I’m not looking to replace those players. Instead, I’m looking for people that would like to play but not fully commit themselves. Stand-by players for the Sunday game, if you will. The idea is, if not everyone can make the next Sunday session, I would reach out to the stand-by players to see if they’d like to guest that day (hopefully with plenty of notice). For larger encounters, having an extra player besides the regular cast would also be an option occasionally. Further, you’d be joining a small but dedicated discord group with the potential of finding games outside of the Sunday schedule, or just decent and welcoming people to hang out with. I understand that seeking for full time guest players may be controversial, but if any of this sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to send me a private massage so we can chat about expectations and such. Perhaps you’re a full time DM and would like to play once in a while without too much commitment. You can also look me up on discord: mAlkav#0606 About my games I use a wide array of scripts to enhance the VTT experience, and like to keep combat encounters mechanically sound. The games are very light on home brew content, and usually only use official material (published or AL legal for the sake of being balanced). Character background, development, and the overall narrative are important to me and I’ll try my best to make encounters and quests valuable to the game’s narrative as well as the characters’ personal journey. Even if players just wanna punch things for a session ;)
