my drop-down menu won't stay in place

Hi guys, essentially I have started to give it a try at creating my own character sheet and the thing is : I've coded a drop-down menu that displays all the classes that will be in my game, but once you choose one then close the character sheet, it won't stay on what was chosen when you reopen the same character sheet, is there a way to lock it somehow or make the game remember what i choose for that character ?

Have you included a properly defined name with the dropdown, something like <select name="attr_classes"> The attr_ is not part of the name, it tells roll20 that what follows is a name, so it must be included.
omg that was just that, sorry for the bothering I started html two days ago XD

no need to apologise! I guessed that was likely to be the problem, because we all make that mistake starting out :) Also dont be embarrassed about being inexperienced. The forum is for people of all experience, from industry professionals to complete beginners. Most sheet builders are new to html, and those of us that have learned a bit are happy to help others on their way.

No worry it's a common mistake even for people who have been doing it for a while. I'm mentioned this in the "Common Mistakes" section of the "Build Character Sheets" wiki page. I have made a setup with Sublime Text so the editor always adds `attr_` to the start of every inputs name so I don't have to type it out every time and reduce the risk of me forgetting it. I've also made a few other QoL improvements specifically for working on character sheets: Github link to my Sublime settings
