A Clerical One Shot

Game Time;  Tuesday June 25 9:30PM CDT (1 day from now) Frequency; One Shot System; DND 5e -Voice chat required, video chat optional-  All your characters are clerics who celebrate various divine beings, but are all brought together by a group of angels. In the plane of Limbo a failed lich is trying to teleport to Mount. Celestial to destroy angels, kirins, and all sorts of other divine beings.  What I appreciate most in a player is kindness, quick decision making, and willingness to role play. I love players who write back stories, and try to include them in the story. If you're homophobic, sexist, transphobic, etc, then this is not the game for you. In this game there will be a little bit of mild gore and swearing. Nothing overtly sexually descriptive will be allowed, but there may be certain situations where players can choose to engage with certain romantic elements. I know many groups use Discord, but for this group we're just going to use the built in Roll20 voice chat. If we have many difficulties we'll switch to Discord. This game should be about two hours long.  I want all my players to feel comfortable and happy in my games. If a certain moment makes you feel uncomfortable, please just tell me. You can even just private message me an 'x' and I'll make sure to back up, discuss it with the party, or rewind time if necessary, to make the moment less uncomfortable. If there's a certain thing that you find triggering, please private message me, so I make sure not to include it. The main reason I play table top role playing games is to make new friends and craft crazy stories, so I'm excited to meet you all. Character Creation;  -LEVEL 13 -You can use either point buy or random generation (4d6 method) to generate stats -You must have AT LEAST ONE LEVEL IN CLERIC.  -Multiclassing and feats are allowed -You can used any Wizards Of The Coast Material, including Unearthed Arcana. -If you want to use Homebrew material, just ask me about it.
When joining, here's some potential questions you may want to answer (but you can say anything you'd like if you want to join);  What are your preferences when it comes to Table Top Role Playing Game Sessions?  How much experience do you have with Roll20 and D&D 5e? What's the rough idea of the character you may play? It's okay if you don't have any idea yet, this question's basically optional.  Any questions for DM?
this sounds fun
What are your preferences when it comes to Table Top Role Playing Game Sessions?      I enjoy exploring interesting settings and seeing a character evolve in relation to the rest of the party and their experiences even if in a one-shot, that's generally a little more limited.  I like a fun, light-hearted group and enjoy joking around with the party. How much experience do you have with Roll20 and D&D 5e?     I have been playing 5e for about 3 years and have used Roll20 for all of them.  Played a couple of long campaigns with my core group (and DMing Curse of Strahd right now), as well as a few other less durable campaigns and a number of one shots.  What's the rough idea of the character you may play? It's okay if you don't have any idea yet, this question's basically optional.      A gnomish knowledge cleric from a successful merchant family who changed his name and joined the church of Baravar Cloakshadow after his father was exposed as a war profiteer and his family was disgraced.  He hit the road and sought out troubled areas and conflicts in an effort to better understand the these events and publish the "true story."  I see him playing as an investigative journalist who keeps landing himself in hot water by being a little too eager to follow the story, and getting pretty good at getting out of scraps as a result.   Any questions for DM?      Nope, sounds like fun!
Hello there. The game sounds interesting, I'd love to join. What are your preferences when it comes to Table Top Role Playing Game Sessions?  I am RP focused for the most part. I enjoy the storytelling and acting, although I have no real acting talent. As a player, it is just a fun way to spend an afternoon, a nice break from DMing and one shots are a great way to test out new NPC ideas. In the end a couple hours of fun is all I really need out of a game though. How much experience do you have with Roll20 and D&D 5e? I have over 1000hrs on roll20, mostly as a DM, and more in 5e at a real table. What's the rough idea of the character you may play? It's okay if you don't have any idea yet, this question's basically optional.  Nestriel the High Elf Life Cleric of Hanali Celanil. She grew up in an Elven city and was seen as beautiful from an early age. Her love of beautiful things helped to draw her toward the worship of Hanali Celanil. She has a tendency toward vanity. This was tempered slightly in recent years by her mate. Her lover has been missing for some time and she has a desire to find her, but wherever she goes she hopes to bring joy and create revelry. She still enjoys a good dance or a party. While she travels she encourages merriment and all forms of love. She would definitely be a character focused on healing and supporting the party. She travels with those that will have her and those that may need her assistance, but all in the service of love and finding her missing mate. Any questions for DM?  No questions as of yea
