Text Insertion on Map Update

Can someone update on the problem with inserting text? You can't insert text unless you hold the mouse button while you type which, for a touch typist, is painful. I did a forum search and looked at some of the bug threads, but frankly, I don't have time to sort through hundreds of pages and posts discussing multiple problems in an update just to see where things stand with a known issue. Yes, I looked in the bug repository/list thread. Having customers search for known bug information in a forum thread that covers multiple bugs is a poor model. Seems you all are big enough to port forth a user friendly knowledge base. But I digress...sorry. Text insertion tool update please. Thank you.

initial quick test, it seems pretty spiffy! Works. Carriage return works nicely. Click to another location gives me new box - nice. Escape or pick another tool gets me out. change color works. All good stuff. Only one question - Will the production code default to user selected in avatar as default when you first select text tool? That would be really nice, but certainly not a high priority need.  Thanks for the fast response!!
