Dynamic Lighting Questions/Issues with Lag

Hi, I realize the dynamic lighting is best done with the poly tool, and I am using that--- but still seeing some lag (generally alongside CPU spikes). I am just looking to understand a few things: Is this still a common issue for people? Secondly, my PC isn't the greatest in the world, but I don't think it is that bad... Athlon II X4 635 Procesor (2.90ghz) with 6gb of ram. Is that sufficient enough? Lastly, if the first and second questions are essentially affirmative, I am wondering if the server upgrades in the spring update will have any impact on this? (though I realize it seems to be a client side issue) Thank you

Thank you very much! I will PM it over. I am out for most of the day, but I will catch up with you. Again, thanks... I really appreciate it!
Are you using Chrome? If so type "chrome://gpu" into your address bar and hit Enter, and make sure it says that Hardware Acceleration is enabled for you.
hmm, I am actually--- So in checking that I get the following: Graphics Feature Status Canvas: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable 3D CSS: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Compositing: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable CSS Animation: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Flash 3D: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Flash Stage3D: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Flash Stage3D Baseline profile: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable WebGL multisampling: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Texture Sharing: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Video: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Video Decode: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Video Encode: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable WebGL: Software only, hardware acceleration unavailable Updated the driver and rebooting, and will check back. Interestingly, in IE there is no lag (I didn't think to check this before assuming that IE would just be worse)
thank you for making me aware of this. After driver update: Graphics Feature Status Canvas: Hardware accelerated 3D CSS: Hardware accelerated Compositing: Hardware accelerated on all pages and threaded CSS Animation: Accelerated and threaded Flash 3D: Hardware accelerated Flash Stage3D: Hardware accelerated Flash Stage3D Baseline profile: Hardware accelerated WebGL multisampling: Hardware accelerated Texture Sharing: Unavailable. Hardware acceleration unavailable Video: Hardware accelerated Video Decode: Hardware accelerated Video Encode: Hardware accelerated WebGL: Hardware accelerated The only one that is unavailable is texture sharing, which I am not sure why. It doesn't seem to make a difference because performance is about 2000% better. thank you so much for the help everyone.
