D&D 5E - showing players dice rolls, but not the modifiers/totals

Hi all -- I'm sure this has been asked before, so feel free to point me to the post. When I roll anything with a d20 from an NPC character sheet, I'd like it so: - Players see only the die rolls, not the modifiers. - I see normal: totals, with mouse-over for details. Reason -- When I play live, I like to roll the dice so my players can see them...and so they can make decisions about reactions (Shield, etc.). I don't want them to see the totals or know the NPC's modifiers. Is there any way to do this? Thanks! Skilmar

Nothing I can think of that is baked into the sheets themselves... there is nothing to stop you from simply doing: /r 1d20 or The DM makes a dramatic roll: [[ 1d20 ]]! Whatchya gonna do suckers? It would only take the same mental arithmetic you'd employ at the table to get the result. With the first option you could even drag the resulting dice onto the VTT and right click>random side it to make your rolls each time for that ultra visible and dramatic feel :)
