I take a deep breath, it's the first thing I remember. Then before I know it, my armour is detached and I'm blinking away the blurriness in my eyes. I can hear something moving outside the pod. I can't remember how I got here, but there's a helmet and a bunch of weaponry. A spear, rifle and a sidearm. Time to gear up. There's two others, they look really familiar. They're wearing the same armour, with the same gear, although they've left their rifles in their tubes. One of them, who we're going to call Four, has his pistol up, "Don't come near me, face-stealers." The other, we'll later call him One, ignores him as he grabs his rifle strap and heading to the doorway, where there's an alarming number of bodies and blood. With my rifle pointing at the same door, I notice some scratching noises coming from that direction. I flick the safety off, and raise my rifle to my shoulder, as I'm readying though, something comes through the door. A winged imp-thing comes in, and we all fire at it. One manages to take it down with a headshot. I can hear scurrying over in the distance. I head over to the nearest downed 'friendly' and check for ammunition. No luck, but he did have a grenade on him. I'm going to check the broken cryotubes, following One's lead. and prepare for whatever's coming. Out of the corner of my eye, I see lettering on some of the crates, almost like its for the first time. There's med kits, an ammunition crate, and some say power. Above the doorway, the lettering finally makes sense too. It says Detention. Over to the side, one of the dead demons has a spear, it looks like its something they used to kill the others in the cryotubes.  The guys in armour seem undergunned, compared to us. But there's one body that looks like he was exiting the room. The others grab ammo and I peak down the corridor, just to check, before falling back to grab some bandoliers of ammunition and some gear. Skidding down the corridor comes barreling a hellhound of some kind, Four sprays a burst, I fire a single aimed shot from the rifle hitting it grievously as the round tears through the body. Before it can get up groggily, One puts a round down it, and finishes it off. Off in the distance, it sounds like a battle is taking place. We start grabbing everything useable we can. Looking at the bodies, they seem to have some kind of clover insignia, and though they look humanish, everyone here's pretty tall, ourselves included. We number ourselves with the blood of our never-woken brothers. Searching the rest of the room, we find some unused sets of armour and some forearm shields. One is on door overwatch, but I can hear something slow coming up the hallway again. One taps his spear against the door, and whatever's out there mimics back in reply.  A large creature with the spear runs up, and a scorpiontail is also coming in fast. As they come in, Four takes the imp in the leg, and I put another shot taking off his arm, blood spraying everywhere as he drops. Scorpiontail stumbles through the spray, and then One hits him in his spearhand, damn near taking it off, but he drops his spear on the floor, and spends desparate seconds scrabbling for the spear then backing up, I try to take a shot, but the rifle jams, so I let it swing, pulling out my holdout pistol, One steps around the corner and puts some rounds into him, putting him down.  Grabbing some water and a unjam the rifle, and head over to give One his share. As I approach, he signals there's something down the hall. It's a totally oblivious imp. At One's nod, I draw a bead on it, feeling like I know exactly how to get the right shot. I was wrong. Bleeding profusely, it attempts to run at us, we can hear more skittering. One takes a shot at it, ruining its head, but its still stumbling towards us. It shouldn't be moving, but the damn thing is still alive. As Four misses, I draw a bead again, firing again, putting a round through its arm. Ripping apart skin, muscle, bone, and sinew with ease, turning the target’s arm into a dangling ruin. All is quiet, though there's still some noise, and One moves to a flanking position. Once we're there, a pair of Hellhounds come lumbering up the corridor. Four takes his shot, then I hit the same one, taking it out. The force of the attack rips the lower half of the leg away in a stream of blood. Repeating this process on the second hound as it skids to a halt, turning on One, who had been attempting to be One with the Wall, the shots barely hitting the vital spots. A millimetre to either side and One would've been prime dogmeat. Four goes out to join one, but skids to a halt, running back, saying two imps saw him from an adjoining corridor. The imps rush out, and the first dies to flanking fire from One, the second runs forth, and throws a spear at Four, missing him. Amazingly, they don't notice One at all, and he gets to spray more fire into the back of some footsoldier creature, and the Hellhound that came after him We send withering fire down the corridor, but the soldier is still standing until One manages to get a hit, blowing his chest out from behind. The imp scurries after Four, and he fends off blows as I step up and put a round in its back, it stumbles into the bullet shot by One, finishing it off.  Four and One scout ahead, and I maintain watch. Four finds a bunch of bodies surrounding some kind of water reclamation unit, a mix of ours and enemy soldiers and demons bodies, but he does find some grenades for us to use. One does his patented tapping technique and summons yet another horde of imps.We manage to down two before they dive into melee, using their own blood as some kind of weird caustic weapon, damaging itself in the process, and then immediately dying to counterfire from the others. The area's clear for now, so we set about preparing some defences and seeing if the consoles can be activated to provide some additional information. Apparently we're on space station Bowmen, a waylay station and launchpoint for elite soldiers of the Neptirian empire. The foundry is used for preparing the metals and alloys that're used to outfit them. The console then shuts down, apparently we might be getting some company, so we'd better prepare them a warm welcome. We're a few steps into but not completed processing and training, we were awaiting transfer to complete our training, so we've remembered that little bit more of who we are. Spear glowing in my hand, this is definitely going to come in useful. After our preparation a soldier comes up, and is while loitering around is greeted by a round to the chest and head. We here a bunch of inane warnings about removing the oxygen if we don't lay down our arms and surrender to the mercy of whoever the hell they are. The soldier gets up, using the welcome barrel as a handhold. "Come and get them." The soldier attempts to kick the barrel towards us, his foot just punches through barrel, prometheum leaking onto the floor. He looks down, perplexed just before the barrel explodes, engulfing him in fire. One overwatches the passage while I search the unexplored rooms to secure them. We find some kind of stormbolter and modular equipment for turning our equipment into space capable suits. After a few minutes, the fire ripples, and something emerges, a flaming creature that shrugs off our shots like they were annoying flies. Then, to our surpise, he asks in a a polite voice whether we would like assistance. We explain what's happening and he opens up the blast doors. Rounding the corner, we find a pile of burning slag where a blast door should be. We dispatch a pair of hounds and blow our way into the damaged section of the station, following the decompression wave.  Outside we can see a bunch of troll battleships, or at least that's what they look like they're trying to be. They've just stapled stuff to a ship to pretend it's a troll ship. Might've worked if there weren't 4 identical ships near each other. We make our way down to the docking area, and make our way in through a side hatch and into the hanger area. Within are a pair of shuttle craft, two fighters and a pair of freighters, over on the other side, there's an ornate spacecraft as well. Unfortunately that one, the one we want, has a titan overlooking it. The plan is to disperse the unmanned ships, and grab the ship and leg the fuck out of here. Flawless. 3x Hounds 1x Imp A very inconvenienced titan.
