Edited 1563110180
Recruiting for a Long term DND session with Homebrew setting. Playing Wednesday 6pm-12am est, every week.(Not always ending at 12 but we try to make that the LATEST! It’s more determined by how the game goes) Things you need to know about the session. 1. We are using the Eberron maps but the lore homebrew with a few hints from Eberron lore dabbled in. 2. You will be required to have a discord. We use that for a LOT of stuff. There are between the sessions in character interactions, places for character images, item images/details, special character channels, session zero information (That can be added to if need be) and it is where we host the calls for the sessions. 3. Video is required - it helps to cut down on possible talking over each other, and lets me, the DM, understand where everyone’s head is during the game. Also please have a decent mic. It doesn’t have to be PERFECT, but understandable please! 4. This session is not looking for evil characters and all evil characters will be turned away. Neutral characters are accepted. Also - avoid Murderhoboing because I DO have ways to deal with those kinds of characters ^^ 5. You have to be on top of your character sheet. I will not take time out of the start of the session for you to level your character. It's just not going to happen. I put too much work into this story and the prep that I do, and it's disrespectful to me and the fellow players that we have to wait for you to do something when there was a week to do so. 6. I work on the 3 strikes you are out system. Do not cause OOC problems or you will be removed. 7. This is a LONG term game. There will be encounters of every kind down the road. Political, combat, social, city, wilds - you name it. 8. You will need to be prepared for brutal descriptions of bad things. I will give you a reason to hate the bad guys. You, as heroes, will get to stop them.  9. There will be no multi-classing at the start of the game. You can multi-class later in the game after you level up. However, I like to start where you have been practicing ONE artform for most of your life. Then, through adventuring, you discovered other ways of doing things, or want to look into more things. You CAN multi-class, just not at the start. 10. If you intend to create an OP character, Godmode, or meta-game, I will simply remove you from the game. That kind of player is not fun, and not welcome at my table. 11. When we are creating a character, we are using point buy+2 ASI’s and going to start at lvl 3 with max possible health (Because I’m horrible and tend to toss you at REALLY hard shit so be ready for that ^^’) I will also help with a few extra things during character creation to make sure you are aware of ALL options available to you (In case you aren’t aware of some things in particular books) That aside, I'm going to ask a few questions to help weed out applicants. Application questions!! 1. What is your opinion on splitting the party? 2. Is there anything that you DO NOT want to see in a DND session? Aka, what are your hard No's in a session. (Examples - brutal murder descriptions) 3. What kind of character would you like to play? Note, I do allow overlaps in classes. So long as arch types are different, it's even better. You can also state multiple character ideas. 4. Kind of an obvious one - Is Wednesday 6pm - 12pm EST alright with you? We are mostly going to end when there is a nice stopping point, or someone is too tired and we will try to end there. 12, is our LATEST 5. What's your proffered % of split interactions? Roleplay, Exploration, Combat. 6. How old are you and how long have you played D&D? 7. Do you roleplay in your characters voice? 8. Why do you play D&D? What do you enjoy the most? 9. Your character (From the earlier question) needs a book in the possession of a local baron in order to save the life of a dear friend, and you need it within one hour. How do you get that book? 10. What first got you interested in TTRPGs or D&D specifically? 11. What is your favorite moment as a player that occurred in D&D? 12. What is something that you disliked in a previous D&D game? 13. How likely are you to participate in roleplaying opportunities outside of sessions? Aka, between sessions activities. 14. Have you ever had a problem with another player? How did you handle it? 15. How would you handle a situation where the DM makes a ruling you disagree with in the moment? 16. What would you do if an NPC was brought in that was a minority? If a trope is used for these kinds of characters are you alright with that? (Aka - LGBT, person of color, someone with a disability) 17. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate.
Greetings, I go by Moon. If this isn't where you want this I can put it in the correct place 1. It can be an interesting set, but not a good idea 2. There is no Hard No that I know of. 3. I was thinking of playing a Fire Gensai Wizard or and High Elf Rogue 4. I will be able to make it 5. 30% roleplay, 30% exploration, 40% Combat 6. I'm 23 and have played 3 years of dnd 7. I try to most of the time, not always capable of them 8. I play it to live a interesting story, I enjoy when dnd players insane plans work 9. either offer to help with a problem as the wizard, or just rob the baron heal the friend then put it back 10. Watching people play DnD on youtube. 11. My favorite moment as a player was causing and helping a revolt of dragonborn slaves in a dwarven city  12. One of my disliked things in a previous dnd game was when the dm starting targeting abuse at one of the players 13. I'm likely to do it if asked/part of the scene in question 14. I don't remember any time I had one but my memory not the greatest 15. Run with the DM ruling, argue about it in the week between session, if still ruled against, accept and move on 16. Depends on the character in question, and Fine with tropes  17. Entertainment, watching an interesting story, and giving me some more human interaction.
1) splitting the party is a great way to end in a tpk 2) no hard limits, want plenty of rp and skill requirement 3)starting warlock, plan on multiclassing into rogue also 4) that should be fine, will let know if that changes 5) 2/3 rp and exploration 1/3 combat seems a goid mix 6) im 21 and have played off and on for about 3 years and have been character and dm 7) as much as i can, not a great voice actor 8) i enjoy the challenge and the cinematic feel that i get. Love to picture the events in my mind as they play out. 9) stealth up to the building and try to scale the wall, use any spells i need to persuade or elude prying eyes on my way there. Then either pay the baron back or return it later. 10) the fantasy aspect of games has always drawn me in, and allowing me to be creative beyond the confines of what a video game can allow is very freeing 11) it was a steampunk setting and i landed a backstab on one automaton disabling it as our fighter practically crushed the other as they jumped off the building and iron man landed on them. 12) had a dm that had like no story arc and was very bad at allowing or helping with rp. 13) im in, i could always use more practice if nothing else 14) once or twice if they acted pompous like we didnt matter, i just let them take their "fair share of the combat for half an encounter then saved them. 15) if it was something major consider speaking with them privatly, but otherwise just move on. 16) no problems whatsoever 17) i love to play for the story but i feel like its definitely a great way to make new friends.
1. unless it is for say "flanking" or coordinated plan such as social sneaky lad gets inside a grand ball while the rest of us totally not sneaky lads wait at the window he is supposed to open however my main ruling is don't ....unless you have a second DM and referring back to the first point 2. i'm fine with pretty much everything 3. depending on what we have in the party Fighter or Rogue if need be tho I don't mind being support 4. as for as i know for now i'll be fine with it despite me being a CET 5. 50% RP 30% Explore %20 combat 6. 19 years been playing for a year or so 7. I like to fake a voice and i might give it a shot but my accent is hard to shake 8. the role playing and character interaction 9. well with little information on the baron (guards and what not) avoid combat tho when push comes to stabbing he be the one stabbing first 10. me mate actual quote "oi got this from a book shop lets give it a shot" (the rest of my mates "yeah sure") 11. conquering a country by accident 12. too much combat 13. well if we can (say we skip time between sessions) I might have a few remarks and conversation to make. 14. sending him a 150 (or was it 250) page PDF on nautical navigation and why his calculation where of the mark 15. bring it up in a civil manner "oi mate you sure *insert point*" if yes wait and discuss it at the end of the session in any case we learn something off it 16. why depending on my char he might be cool with them or find them absolutely disgusting IRL of course i honestly don't care 17. well depending it depends on the party but i have 2 ways it might go A freedom and making our own story. B a good blady story to take apart (in a good way looking deeper into it) PS don't mind the spelling to mutch not my strong suit
1. What is your opinion on splitting the party? This is a great opportunity to see what party members are made of when having to rely on different members of the group 2. Is there anything that you DO NOT want to see in a DND session? Aka, what are your hard No's in a session. (Examples - brutal murder descriptions) I dont have many limits, i love a good story, im good with most adult content. If i had to say something maybe rape of my character, vorism 3. What kind of character would you like to play? Note, I do allow overlaps in classes. So long as arch types are different, it's even better. You can also state multiple character ideas. Im very new to 5e, i watch crit role and enjoyed the blood hunter alot so i wrote up a lizardfolk bloodhunter, i messed around with a dragonborn paladin, think i might write a goliath something while i practice character creation 4. Kind of an obvious one - Is Wednesday 6pm - 12pm EST alright with you? We are mostly going to end when there is a nice stopping point, or someone is too tired and we will try to end there. 12, is our LATEST I can try since i get off work typically at 6-7 pm est 5. What's your proffered % of split interactions? Roleplay, Exploration, Combat. Roleplay 35% Combat 35% Exploration 30% 6. How old are you and how long have you played D&D? 29 years old, and ive been playing for about 18 years now since 3.5, 4e, and pathfinder  7. Do you roleplay in your characters voice? I try to, im a voice actor and a thespian type player  8. Why do you play D&D? What do you enjoy the most? I love stories, seeing characters develop and the trills of the game 9. Your character (From the earlier question) needs a book in the possession of a local baron in order to save the life of a dear friend, and you need it within one hour. How do you get that book? Korth: would make deals of protection to bargain for the book in return  Duragoz: as a paladin of the eternal flame, would demand that book by the order of the church, formalities and deals can be made later, there is a life to save! Tiny: ive been supporting your man with quality weapons AND armor for years now, you gonna give me that damn book or things gonna get ugly! 10. What first got you interested in TTRPGs or D&D specifically? It is a way to bring friends together  11. What is your favorite moment as a player that occurred in D&D? My favorite moment was when we over through the main boss as a team, it took all of us, working together as a team. 12. What is something that you disliked in a previous D&D game? THE DM'S NPC WAIFU COMPLEX!!! 13. How likely are you to participate in roleplaying opportunities outside of sessions? Aka, between sessions activities. TOTALLY! 14. Have you ever had a problem with another player? How did you handle it? Yes, i tried to talk with them, but they just wouldn't see the problem so i left the group 15. How would you handle a situation where the DM makes a ruling you disagree with in the moment? 1 ask why they did that rule that eay in the moment but not argue. 2 ask to talk after session about it if it was a big deal 16. What would you do if an NPC was brought in that was a minority? If a trope is used for these kinds of characters are you alright with that? (Aka - LGBT, person of color, someone with a disability) Im absolutely fine with anyone, some of my characters are LGBTQ 17. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate. Friends, rp opportunities, maybe learn from another dm, maybe even have us play one of my games at a later time.
1. What is your opinion on splitting the party? Only in situations where its an absolute must. Party splitting should only be a last resort unless the party wants to die.  2. Is there anything that you DO NOT want to see in a DND session? Aka, what are your hard No's in a session. (Examples - brutal murder descriptions) Nothing really.  3. What kind of character would you like to play? Note, I do allow overlaps in classes. So long as arch types are different, it's even better. You can also state multiple character ideas. A. Aasimar Barbarian with the Outlander Background B. Drow Warlock (Raven Queen Patron) with a Noble Background C. Tiefling Sorcerer (Storm Origin) with an Entertainer/Gladiator Background 4. Kind of an obvious one - Is Wednesday 6pm - 12pm EST alright with you? We are mostly going to end when there is a nice stopping point, or someone is too tired and we will try to end there. 12, is our LATEST I am perfectly fine with this time. 5. What's your proffered % of split interactions? Roleplay, Exploration, Combat. 50% Roleplay - 35% Exploration - 15% Combat 6. How old are you and how long have you played D&D? I am 23 years old and I've been playing DnD for the past five years. 7. Do you roleplay in your characters voice? Sometimes, if I can find the right voice for the character. 8. Why do you play D&D? What do you enjoy the most? I play DnD for the roleplaying and adventure aspect. I really like going on grand quests with friends and saving the day. 9. Your character (From the earlier question) needs a book in the possession of a local baron in order to save the life of a dear friend, and you need it within one hour. How do you get that book? A. Ask politely then challenge the baron for the book. B. Seduce the baron then steal it.  C. Kill the baron.  10. What first got you interested in TTRPGs or D&D specifically? I wanted to get out of my shell and connect with other people.  11. What is your favorite moment as a player that occurred in D&D? Either the time that my character set off a chain reaction in which most of the magic users and rogues with fire-based abilities kept blowing up/setting on fire the enemies already defeated forces or the time my character completely changed the course of the current quest by suggesting the party defeat/kill a local tyrant and the DM didn't expect it to happen. 12. What is something that you disliked in a previous D&D game? Lack of communication among the players and/or the DM. 13. How likely are you to participate in roleplaying opportunities outside of sessions? Aka, between sessions activities. Very Likely; I really enjoy the RP aspect of DnD. 14. Have you ever had a problem with another player? How did you handle it? Yes. I first tried talking to the player but when that didn't work, I went to the DM to ask for mediation help. The DM was excellent and helped try to mediate the situation but the player was still being a problem, so instead of causing tension in the group, I left.  15. How would you handle a situation where the DM makes a ruling you disagree with in the moment? I would voice my disagreements in a calm way and if the DM keeps the ruling, I would just let it be until I could privately message them about it.  16. What would you do if an NPC was brought in that was a minority? If a trope is used for these kinds of characters are you alright with that? (Aka - LGBT, person of color, someone with a disability) It depends; I am LGBT myself, and I don't care about the character themselves being a minority but if it was a harmful trope, I would have a problem with it.  17. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate. I want to make new friends and have a fun time. Its all I ever want out of a campaign.  17. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate.
1. What is your opinion on splitting the party? Sure, but only when it makes sense, and does not hinder the game. 2. Is there anything that you DO NOT want to see in a DND session? Aka, what are your hard No's in a session. (Examples - brutal murder descriptions) Not really, as long as it is in line with the setting and story. 3. What kind of character would you like to play? Note, I do allow overlaps in classes. So long as arch types are different, it's even better. You can also state multiple character ideas. Depends a bit on the story, but something along the lines of a mercenary or perhaps a soldier 'enjoying' early retirement. A character with a somewhat grey morality, for whom self preservation is, at least on the surface, paramount. Deeper down, with any luck, is a somewhat more heroic and selfless core. One which the right sort of prompt ought to drag to the fore, though this will likely not be instant. As for class, Fighter, Champion or maybe Battlemaster. My second choice would be a Paladin, in which case I'd likely play a younger character, earlier along in their journey on the righteous path. 4. Kind of an obvious one - Is Wednesday 6pm - 12pm EST alright with you? We are mostly going to end when there is a nice stopping point, or someone is too tired and we will try to end there. 12, is our LATEST I'll make it work, yup. 5. What's your proffered % of split interactions? Roleplay, Exploration, Combat. Probably something like 40/30/30, though this isn't exactly set in stone. 6. How old are you and how long have you played D&D? I'm 29, I've not played a huge amount of D&D, but I'm familiar with the rules. I started playing TTRPGs about 8 years ago. 7. Do you roleplay in your characters voice? Depends on the group, but if I'm not alone in it, then to the best of my ability, and within reason, yup! 8. Why do you play D&D? What do you enjoy the most? The sense of being on an adventure, not quite knowing what waits around the corner, and sharing said adventure with my fellow players. 9. Your character (From the earlier question) needs a book in the possession of a local baron in order to save the life of a dear friend, and you need it within one hour. How do you get that book? The Fighter's go-to would be to try to strike a deal with the Baron, a favour for a favour, something along those lines. Failing that, he would look to someone better equipped to snatch it than himself, hiring someone if need be. The Paladin might honestly struggle, unless the goodness of the Baron's heart can be prevailed upon. Though that being said, he would likely agree to just about anything in order to save said friend, perhaps even if it went against their code, albeit with reluctance, and later likely with great regret. 10. What first got you interested in TTRPGs or D&D specifically? I've loved fantasy stories and worlds for as long as I remember. Reading them, writing them, so when the chance came to dive into such a world alongside other hopeful adventurers, I was naturally thrilled, and never really looked back. 11. What is your favorite moment as a player that occurred in D&D? Hard to pick a specific one on the spot, but I love moments of unexpected and unplanned character development, where something happens, and a reaction you had not even considered suddenly makes perfect sense. 12. What is something that you disliked in a previous D&D game? People fighting over loot out of character. 13. How likely are you to participate in roleplaying opportunities outside of sessions? Aka, between sessions activities. Likely, I love the roleplay and party dynamic side of the game. 14. Have you ever had a problem with another player? How did you handle it? Once or twice. I tried talking to them after a couple of sessions of the same problems. The time(s) it didn't work, I brought my concerns to the GM. 15. How would you handle a situation where the DM makes a ruling you disagree with in the moment? I'd accept it, then, if I disagreed strongly, ask about it after the session. 16. What would you do if an NPC was brought in that was a minority? If a trope is used for these kinds of characters are you alright with that? (Aka - LGBT, person of color, someone with a disability) No problem at all, unless said tropes etc are used specifically to ridicule the character or send a derogative message outside the boundaries of the game. 17. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate. Adventure! Alright, that's a pretty vague answer, but I want what comes with that, working alongside interesting characters to solve the problems laid before us, getting to know those characters, facing hardships alongside them, and basking in the glory of our victories and achievements together. I want to immerse myself in an exciting world, and see what unexpected twists and turns lie in wait.
1. What is your opinion on splitting the party? It's usually an incredibly bad idea. I think it's OK if you are in downtime ie doing shopping. But if you are on an adventure the only reason the party should split up is because a trap/dungeon/etc forced us to split up. 2. Is there anything that you DO NOT want to see in a DND session? Aka, what are your hard No's in a session. (Examples - brutal murder descriptions) Rape is a definite hard no. Honestly, usually most sexually explicit things make me uncomfortable. I'm usually fine with PG to PG-13 romantic details and descriptions but anything above that I start getting weirded out. This being said, in-character relationships happen and I'm good with it as long as the parties involved have discussed it OOC beforehand and no one feels uncomfortable. I'm perfectly fine with gore and brutal murder descriptions. 3. What kind of character would you like to play? Note, I do allow overlaps in classes. So long as arch types are different, it's even better. You can also state multiple character ideas. I really like playing Barbarians, Sorcerers, and sometimes clerics. Honestly I would really love to play a half-orc barbarian. I do not want him to have grown up outside of civilization. I'd probably go path of the bear totem. I'm not against playing him dumb but I feel like that trope can be a little played out as well. Maybe he's smart but has no common sense. He could be really smart and personable, but makes really poor decisions with his life. Above all I'd like him to fit into your world so all of this is malleable. 4. Kind of an obvious one - Is Wednesday 6pm - 12pm EST alright with you? We are mostly going to end when there is a nice stopping point, or someone is too tired and we will try to end there. 12, is our LATEST I'm great with Wednesdays 6pm-12am. 5. What's your proffered % of split interactions? Roleplay, Exploration, Combat. I would say that it goes 40% Combat, 40% Roleplay, 20% Exploration. I've got nothing against exploration but I play D&D for combat and rp mostly. Although there are those moments where discovering something key, could change the story altogether in a split second so there is some interest there. 6. How old are you and how long have you played D&D? I'm 36 years old and have been playing D&D for about 2 and a half years now. It's all been 5e and I think all of hit has been home-brewed.   7. Do you roleplay in your characters voice? I try to. I feel like if I can see other people then I might remember a bit more. I DM my own game where I perform multitudes of voices and I do quite enjoy playing characters. There are times however where I get in my own head and can hear myself on someone else's mic that causes me to trip up on. I do like doing a voice though. 8. Why do you play D&D? What do you enjoy the most? Honestly 4 years ago I had never played a tabletop game and didn't really think I was missing anything. I didn't know how wrong I was. I started playing the Savage Worlds system when a friend of a friend started running a walking dead type game. It was alright at first, I was awkward as hell but kept playing. The experience that really set everything apart for me was that I was handcuffed with a traitor to our group in the back of a trailer. We fought and it was EXHILARATING. Not knowing if the next swing would hit or not and just worry for my characters life. It was at that point that I started really getting into TTRPGs. D&D came next. I'd always been a fan of LOTR and ASOIAF so the fantasy enjoyment really hit with me. I think the best thing in that first campaign that I played in was that roleplaying was always great, there was comedy, action, and drama. I constantly find myself thinking of possibilities in games OOG during my days. I think that's my favorite part of playing. I love coming up with theories to stories that are being told and thinking about these universes that basically mean nothing to anyone other than the people involved makes it feel so special. In-game I tend to enjoy the camaraderie in trying to save the world or even just a simple puzzle. It lets me be with people even if I'm hiding behind a mask. Sorry sometimes I rant with things I'm passionate about and I'm damn passionate about this game in general. 9. Your character (From the earlier question) needs a book in the possession of a local baron in order to save the life of a dear friend, and you need it within one hour. How do you get that book? First I would look to barter, bribe, or offer to do something for the Baron in exchange for the book. If that doesn't work then I would try to intimidate the Baron into making a deal. If that doesn't work then I would fight through the Baron's guards and would probably end up in jail or dead but I would get that book to my friend before that happened. 10. What first got you interested in TTRPGs or D&D specifically? As I said in a previous question I started playing a friend of a friend's walking dead game. I was really into TWD at the time and it was during the hottest days of the summer so being somewhere cool was definitely preferable to the heat. My friend had recommended it because they just needed bodies and he knew that it might get me into the scene. He knew me better than I did apparently. After I lost that first character in that fight I was hooked. With D&D the same friend told me that he was running a D&D game and invited me to join. 11. What is your favorite moment as a player that occurred in D&D? It's tied between 2, for different reasons. The first was during that first campaign. Our group was tasked with finding a magic item in the underdark. The setup was that dwarves had been turning into undead due to a sound in their caves. We were in a dwarven city that was multiple levels and led directly to the underdark. We had walked into a temple and there were multiple dwarves focused on a crystal. We stole the crystal and the undead dwarves started chasing us through the decayed and crumbling city. By the skin of our teeth we were able escape and that was one of the interactions and chases that I still think about to this day 2 years later. The 2nd happened much more recently in a different campaign. In this campaign I'm playing a trickster cleric whose mother died when he was a child. He became a cleric to try and bring his mother back eventually. We were at level 7 when he found a modified deck of many things(54 cards rather than the usual 24-2d4 cards). A couple of sessions later the paladin was bored and looking for something to do when my character offered him to draw a card. He did and all of his magical items were destroyed. Now, one might think that this would say to the paladin or even the rest of the party that drawing more cards would probably be a bad idea. Unfortunately for him and the rest of the party they didn't pick up on that cue. Including myself our party drew a total of 22 cards from that DOMT during that one session. Miraculously none of us had our souls sucked out or died but there are still long-term effects playing out. The last one that had a real impact was that my character was just arrested for the murder of an NPC that had turned him down. I think that while a DOMT can be incredibly dangerous it can also be a well of different storylines that no one had even considered at the start of the campaign. 12. What is something that you disliked in a previous D&D game? Towards the end of my friend's campaign there was a player who joined the game to fill a void left by another player who was no longer welcome in the group. At first this player was fine, they played the game, got into character and really filled out the group. Then little by little they changed into THAT PLAYER and made it a campaign that no one really wanted to play anymore, including the DM. I had tried to talk to them OOC during this period but it fell on deaf ears. I talked to my friend about it but he didn't really know what to do so he rushed through 7 levels by giving everyone a level at the end of every session so we could play through the rest of the story. Those sessions were the most unbearable and honestly the DM should have kicked the problem player but it was an OOG friend that he didn't want to lose. I really wish that campaign would have ended better than it did. 13. How likely are you to participate in roleplaying opportunities outside of sessions? Aka, between sessions activities. Honestly I've never done it before but if I were to do so I would prefer it to be over voice. I would try to do it in text if people needed it to be that but I feel like hearing people/characters talk, especially their tone, can change the way I/my character might react. 14. Have you ever had a problem with another player? How did you handle it? I would talk to them. If we couldn't work it out I would bring it to the DM's attention and let them try to solve it with us. Ultimately it is their game, their world, and I would abide by their decisions. 15. How would you handle a situation where the DM makes a ruling you disagree with in the moment? If I felt strongly enough about it I would wait until the session was over or we were on a break and either ask to speak with them privately or message them on discord. I would NOT yell or get angry with the DM during a session as that's disrespectful and rude. I've been on the DM's side of the table on this one and it's not cool. 16. What would you do if an NPC was brought in that was a minority? If a trope is used for these kinds of characters are you alright with that? (Aka - LGBT, person of color, someone with a disability) Honestly I would not have a problem with that as long as there is a storyline reason for said trope ie people in this city are racist against dark elves because they were demonized during the last war with the underdark 200 years ago. I would feel uncomfortable if an NPC was brought in JUST to demean or belittle them because of said thing that makes them different. 17. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate. I would love to have another game, another group of people to talk about another game with, to be invested in, to gain camaraderie with against whatever would try to tear us down. To feel the epic success of rolling a nat 20 at a crucial moment or crushing defeat by rolling a nat 1 in a similar moment. I would love to make friends both in and out of game and be there for everyone. D&D and most other TTRPGs have something about them whether it's a good storyteller in a DM or the chemistry between a group of people going through similar but not necessarily the same experiences within the same world/story. I really hope to be included but if not I'll also understand that this is something that is different for everyone and if I'm not a good fit here maybe it's just because I'm a better fit in a different game. Thanks for reading through all of this. However this goes good luck on the search and on the campaign. Also thanks for letting me tell someone else about the epic moments that get me so excited every week for more.

1. What is your opinion on splitting the party? Depends on the situation. If we're in town or in an RP situation than sure. If in a dungeon it should be part of a coordinated attack otherwise we shouldn't split up 2. Is there anything that you DO NOT want to see in a DND session? Aka, what are your hard No's in a session. (Examples - brutal murder descriptions) Rape or child molestation descriptions. Implied I can live with but I don't want to hear the hows. Hard no on animal cruelty descriptions, like starving or beating them. If they're killed for food or religious reasons I'm okay but no suffering for the sake of suffering 3. What kind of character would you like to play? Note, I do allow overlaps in classes. So long as arch types are different, it's even better. You can also state multiple character ideas. I'd prefer to be a sorcerer but am more than willing to be a rogue or bard if need be 4. Kind of an obvious one - Is Wednesday 6pm - 12pm EST alright with you? We are mostly going to end when there is a nice stopping point, or someone is too tired and we will try to end there. 12, is our LATEST. I'd prefer 11pm to be the max but I'm able to go to 12 5. What's your proffered % of split interactions? Roleplay, Exploration, Combat. 40/40/20 6. How old are you and how long have you played D&D? I've been DMing for a couple of months but I've only been a player once 7. Do you roleplay in your characters voice? No, I just end up laughing when I'm done talking 8. Why do you play D&D? What do you enjoy the most? I play for fun and to hang out with friends I normally don't get to. I really like rich world building and getting to explore that world 9. Your character (From the earlier question) needs a book in the possession of a local baron in order to save the life of a dear friend, and you need it within one hour. How do you get that book? #1 Talk to the baron and try to get him to give me the book #2 Sneak in and steal it 10. What first got you interested in TTRPGs or D&D specifically? My favorite genre of video game is RPGs and I love big worlds with deep history to explore so it was kind of a natural transition 11. What is your favorite moment as a player that occurred in D&D? The first time I ever played D&D the group was in a library and a fight broke out with some goblins. Our wizard decided to cast fireball and because it was our first time no one had thought anything of it, except the DM. The library caught on fire and we all had a good laugh about it 12. What is something that you disliked in a previous D&D game? It wasn't D&D but there was a situation where everything kind of ground to a halt because the players were stumped on what to do and I, as a new DM, didn't know how to 13. How likely are you to participate in roleplaying opportunities outside of sessions? Aka, between sessions activities. Very likely 14. Have you ever had a problem with another player? How did you handle it? No I haven't. But if I did then I'd try to air things out with them out of session to try and find some common ground so we could get along 15. How would you handle a situation where the DM makes a ruling you disagree with in the moment? I'd ask why they decided to make that call because I'd like to at least understand why they made it 16. What would you do if an NPC was brought in that was a minority? If a trope is used for these kinds of characters are you alright with that? (Aka - LGBT, person of color, someone with a disability) I'd do nothing different and as long as it's not an insulting stereotype trope I'd be cool 17. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate. I want it be fun and engaging first off. It's always nice to feel like a badass but that can come from killing a tough foe or talking your way out of a difficult situation. I'd like to be able to meet new people that share my interests. Mostly though I just want to be a player. DMing is nice and fun but sometimes it gets stressful and is a lot of work. I'd also love to explore another person's world and I have a soft spot for Eberron
1. What is your opinion on splitting the party? Never in a dungeon, unless the plan is thoroughly discussed. In a town role playing it's completely fine. 2. Is there anything that you DO NOT want to see in a DND session? Aka, what are your hard No's in a session. (Examples - brutal murder descriptions) I have very few hard no's. I suppose it consists of beating a dead horse on overt descriptions. Everything is acceptable to me as long as it has to deal with the immersion of the story. The real world consists of good, bad, and ugly. 3. What kind of character would you like to play? Note, I do allow overlaps in classes. So long as arch types are different, it's even better. You can also state multiple character ideas. This is something I would like to know about the party. I do appreciate a good party make up especially with the challenges that we will be running into. Also I would like to create something that fits the feel of the campaign lore. Something appropriate for the homebrew. That being said Battle Mages are my favorite type of classes... I have a Half-Elf Hexblade - He's a very charismatic, flirty Face. If you would like his backstory I have a whole character sheet for him. This is the character I would like to play the most... I have a Goliath Eldritch Knight -  He's smaller than the rest of his Goliath brethren, and became friends with the mountain Dwarves near his clans village. He had an incredible aptitude for crafting, and is working towards becoming a master blacksmith. He also has a demeanor of a dwarf. There are so many characters I want to play. I also have a snooty Rogue High Elf, a Halfling bard, etc. 4. Kind of an obvious one - Is Wednesday 6pm - 12pm EST alright with you? We are mostly going to end when there is a nice stopping point, or someone is too tired and we will try to end there. 12, is our LATEST As long as the game is moving I can play for hours, but obviously there will be time where I will not be able to play due to life in general. Those times will be very planned in case there is an alternative time we can play. 5. What's your proffered % of split interactions? Roleplay, Exploration, Combat. 35% Roleplay, 20% Exploration, 45% Combat. Honestly I'm not into exploration for explorations sake, but if that's apart of the campaign I'm sure I'll be able to roleplay it appropriately. 6. How old are you and how long have you played D&D?  28. I've only been playing D&D this year, but have played RPG's for the past 20 years and am a professional actor and performer. 7. Do you roleplay in your characters voice? I create the voice if I can do it. Otherwise the character has a version of my voice. 8. Why do you play D&D? What do you enjoy the most? I love the exploration of the human condition, character development, strategy, combat, critical thinking, puzzle solving, improv dialogue, and most importantly important, immersive story telling. 9. Your character (From the earlier question) needs a book in the possession of a local baron in order to save the life of a dear friend, and you need it within one hour. How do you get that book? If the character is being held hostage in exchange for the book I offer the alternative that our friend is imperative to being able to get the book, and if the captor wants the book we need that friend to do it, and I offer something of incredible value as collateral. If I succeed we then infiltrate the baron's household through the servants headquarters and attempt to steal it. If it's to heal my friend. I disguise myself and attempt the same thing to infiltrate the servant's quarters and get into the main house to steal it. If all that fails then I save my friend no matter what. 10. What first got you interested in TTRPGs or D&D specifically? The same answer as number 8. I at first didn't think anyone really played then I watched Critical Role, saw the potential, and here we are. 11. What is your favorite moment as a player that occurred in D&D? Honestly, I don't have one yet. I'm hoping to make one. 12. What is something that you disliked in a previous D&D game? I dislike slow, repetitive explanations and descriptive. I do like games to move along with respect to other characters role playing. 13. How likely are you to participate in roleplaying opportunities outside of sessions? Aka, between sessions activities. If something was scheduled potentially, but I do prefer the party to be along unless it was, for example, a patron roleplaying to a warlock. 14. Have you ever had a problem with another player? How did you handle it? I generally get along with everyone, but I'm mature enough to speak the problem to the other person in kindness and discuss it. If it's something blatant I will directly discuss it with the DM. 15. How would you handle a situation where the DM makes a ruling you disagree with in the moment? DM rules, but I will state my opinion. Again, I'm 28 and am mature enough to handle these situations. I would hope everyone involved is the same. 16. What would you do if an NPC was brought in that was a minority? If a trope is used for these kinds of characters are you alright with that? (Aka - LGBT, person of color, someone with a disability) Again, as long as its real life I have no problem with anything. Tropes and archetypes are real. As an actor that's a fact. Bottom line, everyone needs to be respected, but also real life is real life. No one should walk around on eggshells with each other. 17. What do YOU want to get out of this DND game? Entertainment, work through an issue, friendship, a feeling of being a hero, lots of rp opportunities, etc. Don’t be afraid to elaborate. I want to be challenged strategically and given critical thinking challenges. I do not want to die (clearly), but I want to feel the consequences of my actions. I also want to have a good character to explore, and have other characters to explore. I want to know their mindset, why they think that way, and I want to see evolution and redemption of characters. Again it's about story! We all have one let's weave it separately and together. Sorry my actor is coming out. I want to feel like I'm in a Tolkien novel, a GRR Martin tragedy, a Paolini fantasy. I can go on. That being said... Bottom line I like to have a lot of fun. I like lightheartedness and enjoyment. Entertainment and fun are a very high priority to me, and if that's not there then I'll bring it up.
