"A Dirty Job!" is a one-shot story generated to have players rely on their wits both physically and socially - because this tale is located in the heart of Arkham in the Arkham Museum. Both to your benefit and demise, police presence is within earshot. "A Dirty Job!" is a purely theater of mind adventure set in the roaring 20s. Each player will be given a mini-adventure to tie their character into the story so long as you provide a quick summary of your character. This will be a one-shot adventure so if you don't finish - that's unfortunately where the adventure leaves off. I'm doing this purely for sport as there are some gaps within my current games. Skill/Background * recommendations */restrictions : - Someone with a background around archaeology or history - Nobody (PC wise) is "from the Museum" or currently under its payroll. - Use of a car is minimal - Weapons will be assigned as part of your background - keep in mind you will be expected to conceal this in some fashion. Adventure : In brief, you receive a letter that details the informalities of an old friend except for the last paragraph that yields the point of interest. And while I mention a point, it truly is far from it. This allusive literature piece makes loose mention to a matter Kingsley deems "a conundrum most repugnant." Which isn't much to go off of requiring a bit of time off your schedule to inquire what your old colleague that is now the head curator of the Arkham Museum had to truly say to you that he couldn't in an informal piece of mail. What troubles you most, and almost propels you to his aid, is that Kingsley isn't known for unkind representations of events and his censorship could indicate much grander hands at play. As far as you can recall, the Arkham Museum is a gathering of astonishing wonders under the "right eyes." It's a museum that does not waste its time in popular arts, or trendy exhibitions. It collects odd trinkets and writings that for the most part don't see the light of day. It's a research center that is privately funded by a family of "old" money and thus does not solely rely on pandering to the general public.
