Living City idea?

Have you guys considered setting up either a Night City or an original city for a Cyberpunk 2020 Living City/Campaign?
I’m curious, what is a "Living City" campaign?

Basically, a city/setting shared by GMs with a shared pool of players, giving the players a chance to RP both in the game sessions and the in game time between them (for example: how Miss V got the guy into bed in the 2077 48 minute gameplay trailer in the time marked as "3 days later," PCs buying new ammo/guns/Chrome and the surgeries, and the Johnny Silverhand shows that don't end in a riot or attempted/murder or kidnapping.) Edit: I may need to explain the execution of this I was a part of with Vampire: the Masquerade group that did this on Discord, as well as briefly for a Shadowrun 5e game/6th Beginners Box that showed me just how much of a dumpster fire Catalyst insists on turning it into compared to the FASA Era. Voice chat was used for the GM's session. Text Channels were ran for the between session RPs. Notes were used for private communications with Campaign NPCs and other PCs for the Text RPs.

Also, quick note with this: Staff would also do the sheet updates if there is not a Roll20 sheet (usually if Roll20 has character sheets, it'll be left to Players). Campaign GMs would award the XP and Eddies/Nuyen, and Text-based Channel Moderators would deal with the things like Cybernetics installations, Gear purchasing, and assorted trade/general Skill Training (For example, the Cybernetics installer's channel would RP out the Ripperdoc interactions/running the clinic, a trainer for gun skills would rp out running the gun range and giving lessons, while the gun sellers would operate the shops. Hangout areas would be like the city parks, casinos, nightclubs, etc.
would be fun to do that sorta thing over discord. unless ya wanna make a west marches but for cyberpunk.
I love this idea, I have a group that is running a campaign with both NC and the Borderlands. Would love to use a discord channel to merge the groups for a living city. We have a radio show as well in our city that I would happily include in this cross world idea. Would make a great concept for BM and nomadic interactions. If the players ping their specific Ref certain transactions could be monitored. Thoughts?
The only problem with having specific refs for players is this: Living Cities are usually used for people too busy in life for more traditional weekly games. The method I suggested is also meant for Refs, D/GMs, Storytellers, or whatever the game calls the role, to allow them to focus on story creation instead of micromanagement of characters to prevent cheating and the like. Additionally, it helps with game immersion... giving players a chance to build relationships and live spans of their lives in character.
would love to join in something like that. just running the world
I also advocate this idea, however it should be known that living campaign/worlds are usually slower paced than a dedicated session. Some conversations can go on for multiple days OOC while it should just be about an hour IC, for example.
Cool idea, seriously! I’m only just getting acquainted with CP2020, but would love to explore Night City in a more individual/solo way than all together as a four person group.
I've always wondered what a Cyberpunk Living Campaign would be like. If one gets started up, you can bet I'll hop on board.
hey yall wanna start up a discord ?

I can establish the Discord, and come on as an advisor. Only one problem keeping me from going full staff. I'm going back to school starting next Thursday. Edit for Discord Link: https://discord.gg/7JgMryY

So, with the storyline, do you think we should revert the storyline back to the 1st edition, 2013, and build up through to the Red/2077 era since each edition's story is a part of a massive arc?
I think 2020 through to Red could be cool because that way older characters can remember ‘13, while younger ones will just know bits and pieces of that arc. Plus, when Red comes out the 2020 characters can be grizzled veterans by then.
is anything set up yet with this?
I would have sworn a that a while ago I had read somewhere that there was going to be an organized play effort for Cyberpunk Red, similar to D&D Adventurer's League, Paizo's Pathfinder/Starfinder Society, or the old Living City campaigns, but for the life of me I cannot find anything about it. Does anyone recall seeing this anywhere?
Did this ever happen? It sounds awesome.
Can I get updated discord link?
