[LFP][D&D 5e]Mouthful of Diamonds, a semi-serious homebrewed adventure! Saturday Nights 6pm to 9pm EST.

It's been a long time since I last ran a game of D&D, too long. So here we are. I'm looking for 3-4 players to join me and my girlfriend an an extraordinary adventure of extravagant scale. Or, yknow. just kill some rats in a basement or something. I'm still brewing up the setting and the story, so I have very little to report besides to say it'll be a low-ish magic setting and we're going to include a lot of monstrous/weird races that aren't traditionally highlighted in D&D games. If you're interested in joining the party, please post here or DM me the following Your name & age Elevator pitch on some character/characters you might like to play What kind of gameplay are you looking for? Are you more into political intrigue? Hacking and slashing? Do you like a fair mix? Also, how serious do you like your sessions/settings to be? This campaign is probably going to lean more towards the fantastical and absurd side of serious. How much experience do you have playing Tabletop games? Why do you wanna join this campaign? What are you looking to get out of the experience? Thanks everyone! Happy rolling.

I'm Percy, 19yrs old.  -An urchin Air Genasi Fighter, Jericho grew up fighting for themselves on the street, feeling out of place in orphanages, they just kept to themselves, moving from town to town hoping one day they'd find a family to belong to. They joined a fighting ring, would go whenever they felt down and needed somewhere to be. They'd sleep in the ring once everyone left. -Firbolg punk rock Bard, likes causing a stir with their loud voice and booming personality. Actually comes from wealth, their noble parents very much disapprove of their passion. He had a lot at stake, but only seemed to want to impress the wrong crowd.  This campaign is probably going to lean more towards the fantastical and absurd side of serious. <---- this is what i'm looking for, I like roleplay and character building and silly scenarios, but I also like to get emotional when I play, with the serious side. I only started playing D&D earlier this year, but I’ve played in a lot of campaigns, on roll20 and in person. I even DMed my first homebrew 5e game in January and ran my own shot.  Honestly, I really like your lingo and i think you'd be a great DM for me. I am in need of a game and I think having a more serious game will help build me as a player. So please consider me when looking for players. Thank you.
I sent you a DM Percy! I hope we'll get the chance to game together. I also forgot to mention this is my GF's first D&D game so new players are always welcome. We have spots still open!
Your name & age: Marceline, 26 Elevator pitch on some character/characters you might like to play: Honestly I've played dnd 5e since it came out and dove into so much homebrew i have too many characters to play... and besides i prefer building characters that match the world i'm in. However for sake of the application i'll toss one. Ram the gnome, A wizard of immense potential, dreaming of rising to the top of magic and creating the grandest school to bring about a golden, no, a diamond age of magic! (i did read the low magic setting and i'm totally cool with that) What kind of gameplay are you looking for? Are you more into political intrigue? Hacking and slashing? Do you like a fair mix? Also, how serious do you like your sessions/settings to be? This campaign is probably going to lean more towards the fantastical and absurd side of serious: I like games that allow me to do what I want to do. if i fail at it then that's totally fine but i want to be able to try you know? I like roleplay and helping people and stopping bad guys... whether that's stopping an assassin or stopping a king or stopping the flow of magic from fading out. i feel best when i overcome something cool :) How much experience do you have playing Tabletop games? 11-12 years at this point. i started dnd in highschool and i'm already 26 haha Why do you wanna join this campaign? What are you looking to get out of the experience? I want to join because... your girlfriend is in it. i fully believe you'll try to make it a good campaign, plus i just really like dnd. what i want to get out of it is fun times and good company!
Your name & age:  Derek, 27 Elevator pitch on some character/characters you might like to play:  Qlehl the kenku barbarian. The big burly birb looking for adventure and becoming as strong as he can. I've also thought of trying out a character themed around madness of some sort, but that's still being workshopped. I'd be happy playing a character that fills a gap in the party as well.   What kind of gameplay are you looking for? Are you more into political intrigue? Hacking and slashing? Do you like a fair mix? Also, how serious do you like your sessions/settings to be? This campaign is probably going to lean more towards the fantastical and absurd side of serious:  I don't a lot of experience outside of one-shots, but I would say a fair mix sounds like fun. As long as everyone is on the same page regarding seriousness/silliness, and there's opportunities for both. How much experience do you have playing Tabletop games?:  Not as much as I'd like haha. Played a bit of 3.5e dnd in undergrad, but haven't had much luck/time to find a group recently. Does living vicariously through streams and podcasts count?  Why do you wanna join this campaign? What are you looking to get out of the experience?:  I'm usually free Saturday nights and would like to become a better player, mechanically and roleplay wise. I'm looking to meet people who also share this interest and have a god time with them.
