Premise You find yourself aboard Last Gasp Station orbiting Pleiztix XVII. With 21 celestial bodies but no centralized government the system has fallen to local warlords and pirates. The strong take what they can while the weak are forced to work the oxygen refineries buried within the corrosive soup of Pleiztix XVII's atmosphere. Last Gasp, being the only in-system source of oxygen, water, and food, has developed into a de facto neutral zone where an unsteady peace allows trading for locals and a safe haven for visiting spacers. However you arrived to such a place the time has come to be moving on and a group of new arrivals just might be your ticket out of this dump. Word goes out on Last Gasp's broadcast network that the Phoenix is looking to hire new crew. Word around station is the current crew is green around the edges and a little inept at the ways of space. They survived a run-in with the War Hawk though and that's enough to earn a modicum of respect. The recruitment 'cast has this to say about what the crew of the Phoenix hope find here: "Comms officer needed. Must be ok with small spaces. Bonus if experienced with weapons. Free jumpsuit if hired (dry cleaning not included)." - Captain Howard Rookson "Need someone that can deal with ship comms and be alright at shooting gun." - Chief Gunner Ishtar Aawks "No face paint. Knows how to talk spaceship. Not afraid of small spaces." -Chief Engineer Ethan Davis It's not much, but hey - a free jump suit? That's more than they give you in the oxygen refineries. Campaign Info This campaign is on Session 11 and has left what I see as the Prologue phase and is entering the Sandbox phase. The group escaped being stranded on a hostile planet, hid from the law, learned crime doesn't pay and then executed a clever plan that got their pilot his Free Merchant back. They arrived at the system described in the Premise and are desperate for a new crew member that knows what they're doing. Their pilot is quite skilled but the other two, shall we say, prefer sand and blue skies to the depths of space. This is my first SWN game and it's going nicely. I'd like to recruit one player to get us back to four. Session Info Time: Weekly, Thursday nights, 7pm-10pm EST. Audio: Discord. A microphone is required. Video: Discord. A webcam is required. I've been having trouble with Roll20's video and want to try Discord. So far it has worked flawlessly. System: Stars Without Number. A free version of the book is available on DrivThruRPG. It's fairly simple, most things boil down to rolling 2d6 (skill checks) or a d20 (combat). I think new players should not be worried if they're interested but haven't played SWN before. Attendance: Take a moment to consider whether you can commit to 3 hours every Thursday night without regular conflicts. If you're interested in joining please post in the LFG forum . Include what it is you bring to the table and why this game specifically interests you. While the listing is active I'll make an effort to respond to any interest.
