Story For the last 90 years, New Angoria has been unmappable. Any attempts seem to be just a few kilometers off, not quite as far as you remember or completely wrong within days. Entire expeditions have been lost, families separated and progress halted. Since coming to the new continent, no map has been accurate and people live in fear of never finding their way home. That is, until today... King Goliath's ranger and spymaster, "Lotus", has come into a map like any other. It's paths are invariably wrong and it's mountains not where they should be, but word has it that there is a site on the map that's true. You have been contacted directly by the Kingsmen, the Royal Guard of the crown, and your attendance is required within the week. As a sign of faith, more coin than the common folk make in a month is within the note as well as an address in the bustling streets of central New Angoria. Will you heed the call? Defiance System Defiance is a homebrew system based upon 20 years of playing in systems like D&D (2,3,3.5,4,5), Pathfinder, White Wolf, GURPS, HERO, ODAM and several others. Defiance was built out of a continual pattern of seeing some cool stuff on the outside and being frustrated about the same old things. Defiance gives you the flexibility to make what you want and not feel that someone who can "build better" is always much more powerful. We've tossed the idea of the six core attributes in favor of some more functional and fewer attributes. If you want to be a fat wizard, do it. Not everyone who casts was a genius... Our classes and races are many. In Defiance, you don't just level up, you devote your level to either your Race or your Class, with a simple system for "Cross-Class" and "Cross-Race" leveling. Each level gives you something substantial, without the need to min-max. Below are just a few of the options : Race : Human, Elf, Dwarf, Shortfolk, Stonechild, Fiend, Celestial, Godkin, The First Class : Knight, Barbarian, Priest, Wizard, Sorcerer, Druid, Bladesinger, Rogue
