Hello fellow roleplayers! My name is Tim and I am currently looking for a game to join, hopefully for a long time! I have played TTRPGs for a little more than half a decade accumulating several thousand hours of experience. Mostly I have played Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition but other games such as Pathfinder, 3.5, Blades in the Dark, Fantasy!, Truvdang and probably some other games as well. When I first started getting interested in playing TTRPGs we didn't have anybody with experience in the group, therefore I was tasked with being the DM. I sat down with a stack of papers, a pen, and the 5e PHB. I wrote all the important things over to the papers, and five days later we had our first session. Ever since that initial session, I have been greatly in love with TTRPGs and what they can bring. To be able to collaboratively make art through your voice with a bunch of people gives me goosebumps. I love that you can sit down, create a character that has its own motives, drives, and wishes. To be able to act these out in a completely new world with people who are doing the same thing is something that makes me smile. Normally when I play TTRPGs I do it for the roleplaying aspect. I want to be able to have heated arguments in character whether or not we are should stop the necromancer raising his dead son to give him the last goodbye, or if we should allow it. I want to get yelled at in character for accidentally killing someone that we wanted to keep alive and have a large scene where the characters are talking things out. I want to do all of these things in the mind of the character and then still be able to have a laugh and say to the other players "Shit, that was some good RPing" and everybody knows that all that has happened has been in character and there are simply no grudges held towards anybody or anything out of character. Of course, what I am saying isn't meant as an "It's okay to fuck with people in character and then say errrr my character would do that so I'm going to do that". I'm talking about mature people understanding that shit happens in the game, and we can all be reasonable about it. With all of this being said, let's get down to the dirty talk. What can I provide for a game? * Stability, when I commit to a game I will always be there or otherwise early notify about any anomalies. * Knowledge and experience * Maturity * Deep characters that are made to fit into the world and campaign that we are playing * Voices, detailed descriptions where needed * Somebody who knows when to shut up, and when to push other people into the spotlight * A complete lorewhore and somebody who loves to interact with all characters * Somebody with a love for the game which will also show * A good microphone and web camera DISCLAIMER I have a tendency to be a rules lawyer at times. I am aware of this and am learning how to tone it down. But as a DM there's simply a button in me that immediately goes "Nar, that's not how...." when somebody uses something in a way outside of RAW that hasn't been mentioned is specific homebrew. I don't give the slightest shit if you homebrew things as long as you tell me and I'm aware of it. What do I wish to join? I want to find a game where the party and DM collaboratively writes a story together with the random elements of the die. I want to find a group of people that can stick together for a long time and play multiple campaigns together. I don't particularly care for the system as long as I get the help needed to start up and get a good grasp of it. I wish to have a DM who participates in the making of characters and makes them feel alive in the world by using the backstory in the game. I want players who match the enthusiasm and passion for the game so that everybody is on the same page when playing. I have played in larger groups before, but have found my own sweet spot to be 5/Sub 5 players. I strongly prefer to use face cams when playing, although this is not a must. The reason I prefer it is simply that you can look at the other person when talking to them and it adds another layer of roleplaying with gestures and facial expressions.
