GM looking to run Mage Ascension game

HI Im looking to run a Mage the Ascension game, but I;m fairly new to the system Im thinking of running the game Friday about 6-7 pacific time and am looking for players to play
Yuuka K. said: Im thinking of running the game Friday about 6-7 pacific time So darn close. Just so darn close to what I wanted, but then it's taken from me.
oooooo! I'd so be in if I didn't have to work Friday evening. If you change the time please let me know! Got a character ready to roll!
If I liked Mage more (and still had the core book), I'd be willing to consider this. Been missing some oWoD.
the quick start is free on Drivethrurpg.com and the core book is only 16.80 for the pdf. a physical copy is $5 - $20 on amazon.

Yeah. The quickstart for this is garbage. It handwaves too many of the rules, making it too incompatible with the main game. This is something I'd be interested in, but it looks pileups hands might be full on Fridays right now.
Hi! Revised Mage (3rd ed) is probably my favorite RPG. I have nearly everything in print for 3rd ed (it and one copy of Changeling the Dreaming are my remaining OwOd books) and have the M20/20th Anniversary deluxe edition from Onyx Path coming whenever it prints on Kickstarter. I'm good for referencing the the rules helpfully and not being a dick about it. I like to play a range of stuff to fit the game and story the GM has running. IE: I typically don't expect to blast off into the umbra and derail everything/go all sphere cannon sandbox when the Gm has a reformed Council of 9 political thriller in mind. I would love to play, but like a few folks Fridays are a bit prohibitive for me, I just joined another game here that runs 4-8 or so Pacific time. If you're open to another night I'd love to try it, and/or I'd love to keep tabs and sit in (or maybe pop in late with a support mage/sit in quietly with a Cor mage) when my Fridays are free if that might be an option. Have fun, regardless!
I'm with Hoople. I ran a MAGE chronicle for most of 2012 so I'm up to speed on rules and world stuff. Although 2nd ed is my favorite (I don't like the meta-fiction stuff in 3rd, avatar storm ect), I'm familiar with whichever version you want to run. It's one of those games where it was already pretty solid from the start. I also backed the kickstarter and hope it brings more people to the MAGE table.
I'd like to play. I haven't played mage before, but I know how to make a character and have experience both playing with and STing in the storyteller system. And I'm fairly reliably on session.
