The best bodies money can buy. --Maps: 4 pages of location combat maps: city street, dusty desert highway, corporate office interior, bar with billiard tables and back-offices. Layout is clean with red piping throughout with colour illustrations, not like the original CP2020 which was a little dull with b&w everywhere. This game is set in 2043, and some standard text about the history and attitudes is lifted straight out of CP2020 but the historical development has been "extended'. The rules seem similar to CP2020 but with simplifications, fewer skills and simplified Netrunning. Eventually Cyberpunk Red will be a large hardcover book.
Yeah I was disappointed it was not the CRB. Had I known it was just the jumpstart kit I wouldn't have put in an order for one. The timeline is nice, but it leaves a few questions for me. Mostly, like, "How did they clean up all the nuke rads so quick?"
From my understanding, Nuclear radioactive particulate would have collected in the soil... soil that apparently sloughed itself off the bedrock and into the bay as far as Night City itself went... what it's doing in the bay, and what the fallout did to the rest of the area... I have no clue.
