Hi, I am currently DMing for a group of 5 for an open world campaign and I am looking for additional players so that we will be able to have multiple sessions per week, ideally whenever the players who want to play are free. We use DIscord to communicate and it is a free speech server which means you could hear the gamer word, fair warning. We also play with homebrew stuff and you are welcome to submit your own stuff, even if it is broken, as long as you are not ruining everyone else's fun I don't really care what you do. I am also happy to work with anyone to balance anything to make it fair as everyone is currently playing RaW characters with the exception of our homebrew rules. I don't care how long you have been playing, I'll teach you how to play if you want. I'd really prefer it if you don't come in and say a bunch of memes or constantly reference some streamer or group of streamers though. We like to try and role-play but we are all pretty aware how awkward and weird it can be so we don't tend to put on a voice or anything, you are more than welcome to and no ones going to mind. We all know the core rules and most of the tertiary stuff you need to play an open world campaign, but sometimes we get things wrong or forget things and have to go back and fix it real quick. People forget to roll initiative or forget they had the ability to do something and I usually let them fix their mistake. IMPORTANT. I play with the group while I DM. That being said I think I do so very fairly. Usually I take more of a passive role and try not to influence things too much, I just want to play. If we get a bunch of people going I won't always be playing while I am DMing, but yeah I really like playing a character. These rules are up for discussion, but mostly exist to makes things simple, easy, more realistic, or ideally a combination of all three. Professions have been condensed into groups. Having proficiency in one profession gives you proficiency in the entire group, all the tools are in one set as well now. Ex. someone with building proficiency uses building tools, they cost whatever costs the most out of the tools making up the group and they weigh whatever weighs the most. For game play purposes, you have all components of every tool that makes up your profession in one set. You can't get the two professions that Charlatan gives you, sorry. Deities.
