Random Number Math?

have been doing a game of fate recently and there's been something really weird going on, I wouldn't think much of it normally but since it's been twice in a row now... i'm not really any good at math but I do remember something about averages, card counting, %s... the issue is that during this FATE game i'm participating in there's been A LOT of repeat rolls on rerolls, I myself had 2 repeated results of favorable results (( the most recent was a - - - 0, the other was a - - 0 0 I think, and both times the results just ended up being the same )) there's been others having the same issue more than just a couple times over the course of the last month of play, the roll results just seem to keep repeating... the rolling process is different though each time, some are using the Sheet macro, but other times we manually do /roll 4df or [[4df]] just has been occuring often enough to wonder if something is acting up with the algorithm thingy?

Barring an improperly set up macro, the random seed is random enough that a pattern is indiscernible in any finite set. Humans are very good at creating patterns from the world, and at remembering exceptions. So unless there's a problem with the formula, its vanishingly unlikely there's anything wrong with the randomness of the rolling.
