Hello! Recently due to a schedule change, we've lost one of our players. Since that makes "only" three, I am now looking for an additional player. To get the most important things out of the way: we play D&D 5e, usually on Fridays at 7 pm GMT+2 (three of us are from Europe and we have one Australian who can make the time slot since it fits with his schedule). Since there is a group of some rare Fridays that I can't make the game (this week for example) it would also be good if you could make the same time on Thursdays (this is only about 4-5 times a year). Who we are... We are currently three male players and one female GM (that being me). We are all in our twenties and consider ourselves to have a rather good humour - if a little in need of getting used to. We all speak fairly good English, with two of us being native speakers. We also like hanging out with each other outside of the game, talking about D&D, playing other games on Tabletop Simulator or watching anime together. We all enjoy building characters with interesting backstories that I, the DM, can work with. As such we would describe ourselves RP focused, though by no means that means there isn't combat awaiting you. I as a DM enjoy challenging my players with combat and puzzles alike, and while I don't try to actively murder my players (or their characters, I guess), I do my very hardest to make their lives difficult. What we are playing... Currently we are playing a level 1-12 homebrew campaign in my homebrew setting, Igrish. The world is by no means finished and I'm looking to build it together with my players. So to make it short: most of the things my players want/need/are looking for, probably exist in this world. The world is flexible and has made three very interesting characters possible. Igrish is a high magic world, with magic being a common thing, common items being used by many people and obviously people being prepared for all sorts of magic spells. The campaign we are playing now has started and is currently set in the Royal Kingdom of Vesmore, one of the bigger kingdoms on its continent. While magic is common here and used for many things, clockwork creations are somewhat frowned upon and seen as too advanced or even dangerous. (Though that doesn't stop one of our characters from inventing!) Another big thing in the world are guilds. Magical, merchant and trade or adventuring guilds. All sorts exist and usually guild membership is highly approved of. Anyone who specialises in something usually is looking for guild membership. Vesmore only has a few magic guilds - that also serve as mage academies and are therefor almost never actually called guilds - but it thrives in adventuring guilds. Adventuring is seen as something amazing, only done by the truly skilled and apart from the constant threat of dying, adventurers live a fairly good life in Igrish. As such our characters went off adventuring for their various reasons and have now come together to form a group. They are currently at level 3, with the party being made up of a Firbolg Barbarian, a Gnome "Wizard" and a Tabaxi Warlock. They are currently enjoying some downtime between adventures (they brought an adventure to closure last Thursday) and are off to a major city to find an adventuring guild to join. In general the campaign is currently a very "Adventure of the week"-style game (though adventures may also run for two sessions or more). There is a plan for a plot running in the background but the game shapes with every decision the players take so I can't forsee where the future brings us. For now assume "Adventurers going adventuring for the sake of something important to them personally ... or adventuring". What we are looking for... As we are all rather talkative and energetic - for a lack of better words - you should be able to hold your own in a conversation. One of us falls onto the quieter scale but he can speak up between us quite well. We are looking for someone who is in their twenties as that fits our age group. And as we all enjoy roleplay, you should too. Like I said, we do also enjoy good combat but it is possible for sessions to go by with no or very little combat. You don't have to be super experienced as a player of D&D 5e, but you do need to be willing and able to learn your character's skills and abilities. We are looking for someone willing and capable to commit longterm as we usually enjoy following up with another campaign, when one is over. Our timeslots are Fridays 7 pm GMT+2 or alternatively when we can't make Fridays, Thursdays 7 pm GMT +2. You need decent mic quality with preferably no but at least no distracting background noises. The games last for 3 to 4 hours, rarely ending before or after then though both could happen, and we play weekly. While we are all rather humorous and like to play the game that way, we also take it fairly serious. In-game jokes are fine but I rule that whatever is said while the game is running is in character. We use roll20 for most of the game, but using Discord for the voice chat and I use WorldAnvil for world building, with my current three players all having free accounts and characters in the campaign there (as such WorldAnvil is sort of an information hub for us, it's not required but might be useful). Interested? If I still haven't scared you off, feel free to drop me a message here or privately and get into contact with us. We will then schedule a meet up between the whole group, talk about a few things (expectations, etc.) and after making our decision, we'll let you know if you can join the game. Hoping for some interests and greetings... Eva
