Circular reveal tool

I was just wondering whether it would be interesting to implement a circular reveal tool, rather than just the rectangular one currently available. For tactical combat the square tool is fine. However, if I'm using a token to represent a light source in an exploration map (say a scout in a large cave, carrying a light source) it might be useful to have a tool that allows to reveal a circular area around the scout/light source. This actually makes me think that it would be fantastic to implement a sight-radius, structured as an aura attached to a token, that would automatically 'reveal' areas relative to that token. Not sure if it is a tall order, technically speaking. Just my two cents.
I actually love the idea of a moving light radius aura. The only issue i foresee comes from players moving tokens incorrectly and thereby accidentally lighting up things they otherwise might have missed, but really that falls to the player. Id like to think most people are honest enough they wouldnt do such a thing
Check this out :) <a href="https://twitter.com/roll20app/status/201034033226989569" rel="nofollow">https://twitter.com/roll20app/status/201034033226989569</a>
Ken, that seems awesome! Thank you. And yes, David, I think that this is indeed an issue of trusting your players. Having said that, I had in mind using a large scale map for party displacement, and several smaller maps for specific encounter areas. On the large scale map, I could use a single token for the entire party, and I would move it myself, thereby revealing areas progressively. Not sure this would work, but it was one idea I have been toying around with.
The addition of an arc shaped LoS reveal tool would be really helpful too; a sector of a circle so as a GM you can account for LoS blockers more easily. Perhaps to make this foolproof, an option under GM options to make sure you have to click a check-box to go ahead with the LoS changes (optional to stop this feature being annoying to GM's during creation).
How about making the reveal tool a free-shape tool that reveals any closed shape the GM draws? Then you could do squares, circles or any other shape you wanted.
That would be a great idea. There could be a few shapes (similar to what is found on powerpoint) available so that you could draw a swuare/rectangle (as available know, a circle, and a vector (not sure if it is the right word, but the pie shaped design if you are looking ahead, lets say thru a door or window). The free hand would probably make it easier as you only would need that one tool, as long as it can expose any closed shape, it should/could work.
I'd love it if they could add an option to let you reveal an irregular polygon by clicking to set each corner of the polygon before revealing it. That'd allow people using hex maps to reveal hexes individually as well.
