The morning after the battle at Cold Water Paladin wanted to hunt down and bring Amora and her monster crab Lucifer to justice! They got a powerful 4-wheel drive from Avery, three row seating but lacked doors. Avery suggested that they let his daughter Millie drive them to the ruins of Cold Water since she knew the way. During the drive Millie talked to the group and gave advice on how to get the people of Cold Water to talk to them. ‘The people of Crab Creek rely on Tamara for her money, it keeps the town alive. The people of Cold Water live in terror of Amora and you will need to break that before they will tell you anything. She also suggested that the person who knew Amora best is her mom, Grandma Maddie. Grandma Maddie is a seller of charms, potions, and hexes. The people of Cold Water are terrified of her too. They reach Cold Water about 11AM and see the crushed people combing through their town looking for mementos and searching for those who are missing after the attack.  The group get to work right away helping the people where they can. Prime summons a pack of helpful rats to help look for survivors. They find one pinned under debris under a building that used to the Best Little Hair-house. She is an 18 year old girl named Zima Marly. Shifter dug down to her and lifted the building as best he could, stabilizing so the others could reach her. Meanwhile Rudy Hamilton, handyman and pilot, organized getting food, tents, and other items to support the rescue attempts. He also organized boats to take the wounded as close to the highway as possible so people like Zima could get to hospitals. After spending the day saving lives Rudy fed them and gave them a place to sleep. He also offered his plane (and his services as a pilot) to look for Amora and her monster crab. The next day is the Fourth of July. Prime builds a long range fish-finder to look for the monster crab that is using the waterways to escape. Before they board Rudy’s plane to look for Lucifer they hike to Grandma Maddie’s house to question her. The exchange was not informative. Before heading to the plane Prime talks to the rats in the area and learns that Lucifer, his human, several other giant crabs, and their humans, left the night before last (right after the battle at Cold Water between Amora and Tamara) heading north. They get in the plane and begin their chase 36 hours behind Amora and Lucifer. Continuing north they find where the crab army entered the Lake Shore Marshes, where they could easily reach Sodus Bay and then the open waters of Lake Ontario . Paladin calls Cassandra to see if she can get the government to let them use a satellite to try to follow the Crab Army as they move across the bottom of the lake at the depth of over 280 feet. Cassandra then told him that someone who vanished during the Exodus had returned, Superman of Metropolis! Cassandra was less than happy because if the heroes of the Exodus start reappearing that damages her brand (the Superhero Group The Brooklyn Brigade). After the call Paladin warns Shifter that Cassandra will be done with them as soon as they don’t fit her vision of the ‘brand’. While she is trying to get them the use of a satellite they fly (via Rudy’s plan) to the Canadian side where Prime starts working on building flash-bang style depth charges.  The first attempt was unsuccessful but the second attempt yielded a workable design. Paladin contacted Cassandra again but she was not able to secure the satellite link they wanted. He then contacted Lt. House of New York PART. After explaining the situation House forwarded his request of satellite support to a contact of his. A few minutes later Paladin is called by a man who identifies himself as Barker. He agrees to give them access to a satellite feed for 12 hours as long as he can put an observer in their midst to ensure what it is used for. Paladin agrees. Less than an hour later a woman called Nocturna meets them at the plane with a tablet. The tablet is the link to the satellite, unknown to the group the tablet will also record all their actions for future use. Rudy is concerned about having 50 flash-bang depth charges in his plane. Prime promises to provide him with a prosthetic leg if he agrees. Reluctantly he does. The group then group then flies off after where they lost tract of the Crab Army. The tablet has already recorded the group talk about depth charging the crabs and Shifter talk about Paladin wanting to discredit Superman to protect Cassandra’s Brooklyn Brigade brand. They track the trail of the giant crabs 75 miles out into the lake where they loose the trail again. It seems that the crabs entered an underwater cave. There is no way to know how long ago they entered. They drop a few grenades to see if it brings the crabs out. There is no movement from the cave. After considering their options it is decided to go back and question Amora’s mother, Grandma Maddie. They leave the satellite watching the area where the crabs vanished while they make their way back to Cold Water. EPILOG Five hours after they depart the satellite records a submarine entering the same cave system that the crabs vanished in.
