Hi there, I'm a new player (have played DnD in the past with a few friends but nothing recent, and never dabbled in online). I'm 24 years old, and am from British Columbia, Canada. My time zone is PST, so there should be no problems with coordinating between Mountain time. 1) Character name: Kel'dor
Thunderflagon 2) Race/class: Dwarf
Warrior 3) Background (custom is
ok! Please explain what is unique and why you chose it): Hailing from the
Underdark, Clan Thunderflagon was renowned for their prowess in battle, helping
their people beat back the dreaded Drow on many occasions. Kel'dor and his father,
Thandril, fought together in the Battle for Mithril Hall, but Kel'dor was
unfortunately helpless to save Thandril during the Drow onslaught. Many years
later, Kel'dor was exiled from the Thunderflagon ancestral home, for reasons he
keeps close to his heart. He vows that one day he will return, and reclaim his
lost wife, Nisrin. 4) Have you ever played
lost mines before? I have not. 5) What does this
character hate? (can be an action taken by another person, can be a religion or
anything recently): Kel'dor hates those who forsake their oaths or promises,
and despises liars. 6) What would this
character protect at all costs? Kel'dor would lay down his life for his clan
and those rare few outside of Thunderflagon that are bestowed his Blood-Bond. 7) What faith does this
character follow (if any) and why? Kel'dor and his people follow Hanseath, The
Festive One. Despite being warriors first and foremost, Clan Thunderflagon are
known throughout the Underdark for their skill in brewing Gutbuster, albeit
many of their number had not the fortitude to drink it themselves.
Nevertheless, the first of Clan Thunderflagon felt this skill had been bestowed
upon them by Hanseath, and they have given thanks to him for centuries. In
recent times, Kel'dor has called upon Hanseath's more wandering nature. 8) What is this
character's worst fear? Being never able to redeem himself and return to his
homeland. 9) Does this character
consider themselves a: leader/follower/observer/puzzle solver/lore
monger? Kel'dor considers himself an observer, though when conflict arises he
is never afraid to fall in line behind a strong and good-natured leader who can
direct his concealed rage.
10) Pick a dungeons and
dragons elemental type that suits this character (and explain why): Kel'dor embodies
earth. Like most dwarves, Kel'dor is a stout and stoic warrior, unwavering in
his conviction to chosen causes. His word is stone, and his bond is iron,
though it is well known amongst those who knew him when he was still in Thunder
Hall that he melts in the arms of his wife.
