LFG/DM for MERP (Middle Earth Role Playing)

I was hoping that there are folks here interested in playing the old MERP (Middle Earth Role Playing) system done by ICE (Iron Crown Enterprises). Anyone familiar with this old game? I scored a 2nd edition rulebook recently and it made me realize how much I liked the mechanics of the game, especially the Critical Tables. It's a bit like Rolemaster Lite, for lack of a better definition, but still good stuff. Thanks in advance! Scotty

Hi Scotty! My group primarily uses MERP still, and we're running a game of it right now. I don't think the GM is accepting new players at this point, but I can check if you'd like. Either way, I'm glad to see someone still using MERP. Granted, we do use a lot of home brew rules (my brother and I are the core of the group, and have been running MERP for nearly 20 years now so it happens lol). I am interested. I have not played MERP specifically but have played 2nd ed DnD. What time were you thinking? I am available most evenings 9pm+ CST (GMT -6).

Heya Cuthwulf, yes it's pretty much Rolemaster Lite as my Rolemaster buddies would have called it, lol. Spazz, your timing is perfect. I'm available any night from 800pm CST or we can figure out a weekend time, as necessary. I'm not a great GM, in my opinion, so I was hoping that some other brave soul was up to task here but, hell, we'll do what we need to, if I can get enough interested parties to, umm, party? -S.

Scotty & Spazz, well i have no idea what rolemaster is but i would LOVE a MERP I miss them quite a bit. Sorry if i am a bit clueless but I want to learn it sounds like so much fun. I love the middle earth style old rp's but cannot find any. I run on EST and can be on monday after 2pm, Thursday after 2pm through till midnight on friday.
