Roll20 Audio Master plays all when players use

Hello all,

I’m just starting out with Roll20AM, and my macros work fine for myself, and I’ve unlocked certain tracks for player use, and one of my players is testing it and can play one track fine. However, they said when they play another of the three tracks all of the tracks start over and play again simultaneously.  The exact same macro correctly plays only one at a time for me.

I haven’t had a chance to be online at the same time as this player yet to see if I hear the same thing, and I don’t have the macro in front of me to paste here (I’ll add it later today), but until then any guesses as to what might be going on? ;-)

Thanks for your time and assistance!

No clue.  Never reported before.

Try having that player launch from the menus.  If that works fine, then you have an issue in your macros.

I thought the menus (brought up by --config) were gm-only?

You can set them to players, look at main config menu.

Ok, here is the macro in question:

!roll20AM --audio,play|?{Sound Effect|Song of Life Short, Song of Life Short|Song of Life Serenade, Song of Life Serenade|Song of Peace Short, Song of Peace Short}

Is there a comprehensive help / description of all the options for version 2+ of Audio Master?  I'm not sure what "Access: None/Limited/Full" is, for example, and how it relates to the Viewed By setting.  I have tried setting "Viewed By: All" and "Access: Limited" to see if that allows the players to see the config menu and play the tracks in question that way, to see if it works better.

On a side note, is there a concern for filling up the chat log eventually bogging down long-running games?  In the past I think I'd heard a huge chat log history can be one of the things that slows down the game's performance.

Thank you for your assistance and the really great capability of this script to automate sounds and music!

I’ve been getting the command syntax from https://wiki.roll20.net/Script:Roll20_Audio_Master, but it is missing some details / examples.  For example, when I use the Mode option, should the value follow another comma, or an equals sign?

Is there a way to play all of the tracks in a playlist simultaneously, and loop that behavior when done?  Or do I need to start all of the tracks on loop individually?

I’d ideally like to have a Background-Music macro, which would let me select a location and play (on simultaneous & loop) the appropriate tracks or playlist.  Something like:

!roll20AM --audio,stop,nomenu|
!roll20AM --audio,fade,in,nomenu|?{Location|Monastery,Chant Track|Caves,Creepy And Wind Playlist}

I could set up loop and/or simultaneous modes ahead of time via edit commands.  Am I correct that adding commas to the value of a selection in a query will mess up the syntax? E.g. “Monastery,Chant Track,Dripping Water Track”?

On a side-side note, I saw a reference to “Fireball by kaiju” in Incompetech, but now when I search in the Tracks menu under Incompetech nothing comes up.  Is there a way to unlock additional tracks, or do they remove tracks occasionally?

Thank you again for all of your help on my learning curve! :-)

Also, volume is only listed in the Edit section of the wiki, but appears to work as part of audio commands as well. Are there other cross-capable modifiers?

Limited access means they can launch but cannot edit anything in roll20.  Full means they can edit.

You can add volume: percent level from 0 to 100 to any command

You can have a comma delimited list of tracks or playlists after the |

No clue about Impcompetech.  That's outside of Roll20AM and Roll20.
