Need to Start over- Looking for a DM and group to join

[UPDATE] Thank you all for such overwhelming support from those who have messaged me here or has reached out to me privately. I've had so many offers and the games sound interesting. I think I have found a couple of groups that fit me well and if I try to do more than that, I might be overwhelmed for a whole new reason, haha! Thank you again! I am not an expert at D&D but I am no novice either. I started long-term playing about 2-3 years ago, and started to DM 1-2 years ago. Within the past year, I had to stop playing D&D because I was getting married, helping plan another wedding (who were also players/the DM), and trying to figure things out for my husband and I. D&D was becoming a chore and I had to pause. Well, unfortunately and predictably, there was a butt ton of drama. That other wedding couple are no longer my friends because of their ill treatment of me, and it caused a rift between our mutual friends. I'm struggling with any sort of Campaign that involves any of them and I feel like I need a fresh start. New people, new campaign. I have no problem doing any sort of character except evil. I can't be evil. I'm far too overly emotional for that. I'm already overly emotional playing my cinnamon roll characters! I do like to do voices. Apparently, my "Southern Belle" is everyone's favorite, though my obviously fake Transylvania accent is a hoot. I can't hold an English Accent. I suck! And I don't stay in the right region. Anyways, I don't really have a perfect slot I fit into, really. If you are looking for a specific class or race or whatever, I can fill it. If you need a caster, I'm your gal. (I read all of my spells!) You need a fighter, I'm going with going up and punching a wall. I just need a fresh start with fresh faces/voices.
Afternoon! I posted a request to bolster the ranks of our group. Perhaps you could look at the below link to consider if it's something you'd be interested in? https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7715065/lfp-long-term-d-and-d-5e-campaign-seeking-2-players
It looks interesting, but I'm going to have to decline. There is a time conflict for me. Thank you though! Anthony H. said: Afternoon! I posted a request to bolster the ranks of our group. I've actually never played Pathfinder, and it kind of intimidates me. It sounds interesting. Do you have a time when you guys will be playing? Charles U. said: I’m also looking for players for a new Pathfinder 2e game. Does that interest you?

I am starting a game, You could join if you wish. This is a free game I am not a Paid GM. I have 4 players so far. Campaign: The Forgotten Power System: Pathfinder 1e, with 3pp and homebrew though It must be approve case by case. Special Rules: This be Gestalt. Though be warned I played in many gestalts and enjoyed them, but I never DM one so please allow for mistakes and mishaps. Also anime based or video game based characters are allowed. Full set of special rules will be given when players contact me. Players: I would like 3 players minimum 6 players max. Tone: Rule of cool. Also sense underage players may join I prefer keeping it PG-13 or less. Hook: 3450+ years ago was the age of time mages. There power made them the envy of most powerful wizard or sorcerer. For the longest they where respected and thought of the right hands of gods. But with anything people could not understand would turn into fear. This is when the great purge happened. The four mightiest kingdoms joined forces and purged all the chronomancers and there teaching from history. The chronomancers made there last stand in a large keep on side of mountain where they fell. As time passed this keep was covered by rocks and dirt. One day near a village a landside happened on a mountain face. This revealed a very old keep. The villagers went to investigate, to make sure everything is ok. They found a lot of skeletons laying on ground (None animated) with rusted out weapons. As they explored this keep they found a woman. Laying on floor not moving not breathing but also not decayed. They left the keep in fear that magic is afoot. And went to closest city to find some adventurers to investigate. This be you as players. WARNING: This game will involve a constant NPC in party for a period of time. You must be ok with this and understand this. If you do not like constant npc’s for any amount of time this game wouldn’t be for you. gestalt on dnd 1. is two classes combined 2. take Best hd 3. take best saves 4. take best skill points per lvl 5. take best BAB 6. keep specials and spells from both classes 7. take both skills for classes Special Rules 1. gestalt 2. you can build your char to mimic anime or video person if you wish so meme chars are allowed 3. 3pp, homebrew and 3.x is allowed but case by case approving 4. we will use 3pp rules for drawback 4a. 1 major drawback that will grant a feat 4b. 2 normal drawbacks used to gain a trait for each drawback 5. we also use character backgrounds if you so wish 6. no psionics 7. no occult 8. no unchained (This can change if you give me a good enough reason why) 9. 20rp is standard no approving needed below that above that needs ok 10. you can make custom race according to building race guide but same rules as 9 11. no evil chars 12. you can use templates but follow rules on CR if cr +1 and we start at 3 you be lvl 2 class +1 cr for template (this was voted out no longer applies) 13. rules of buying off CR is allowed (this was voted out no longer applies) 14. certain archtypes not allowed will explain more if that archtype comes up 15. we use 3.5 gestalt rules not pf gestalt rules 16. these may change or add on or altered depending on what happens Please DM me if this sounds like a game for you?
I'd be interested running with you if Monday evening is fine. The game is D&D 3.5 but I'm honestly happy to teach. Teaching people is one of my favorite things to do and I honestly just handle all the mechanics usually anyway and prefer to just have my players tell me what they'd like to do without worrying about some silly rulebook. I like 3.5 because it offers so much more... More.. than 5e not that either is better or worse, its just what my players wanted to play. Anyway I'm looking for mature adults to play with and you seem to fit the bill so I look forward to saving the world with you. Current game the party is trying to rescue a desert village from a draught by making a decanter of endless water and are gathering the ingredients.

That is interesting. What time zone are you in? Mondays should be fine. I have played one session of 3.5 once before, but that was a long time ago. If you want to tell me more, you can go ahead and private message me. Commander Dulton said: I'd be interested running with you if Monday evening is fine. While the game seems interesting, the organization seems a little complicated for my tastes. Thank you for the offer. Aegis J. Pathfinder does seem interesting, but the overwhelming amount of information that everyone seems to be giving me is... well, overwhelming. And after some time to think about it, I don't think I want to wonder into the realms of another type of game. I think I'll just stick with D&D. Thank you again. Salutations! I'm running a homebrew Storm King's Thunder campaign heavily inspired by ancient India and ancient Central Asia. We play weekly on Friday evenings at 6:30 PM PST (8:30 PM CST). Presently, we have 7 players; I'm looking to add 1 player in September. Please note we do use video and voice, so a functioning webcam is required. Discord is used for voice and roll20 for video. We use milestone levelling to avoid level (and ability) discrepancies. The application period is open until Saturday, August 31st. The setting is high magic, with magic items abundant and enemy spellcasters not uncommon. Familiarity with Asian history is not a prerequisite. While historical authenticity will be preserved in respect to appearance and language and culture, this is still a fantasy TTRPG. The fundamental trappings remain, and the prevalence of magic introduces degrees of modernity. The party is level 6 and includes: Artificer ( Battle Smith ) Barbarian ( Path of the Alncestral Guardian ) Monk ( Way of the Kensei ) Revised Ranger ( Beast Master ) Rogue ( Arcane Trickster ) Sorcerer ( Wild Magic ) Warlock ( Hexblade ) If you're interested, here is a link to the roll20 game listing. When applying, please ensure your application is in the correct discussion. Applications posted elsewhere will be disregarded. You can reach me via Discord: *darren#2031*. Happy gaming!

I run a 5e game Tuesday nights, 11 P.M. cst to about 2, sometimes 3 cst. I understand if that's too late but one of my players is having some IRL time issues and hasn't been able to join so I have an open slot. If you'd like to join I can get you the details. The party is not evil, a bit odd, but not evil. We have a monk, a bard, a witch (wizard but she calls herself a witch), and a blood hunter. If the other member ever gets to come back he's a cleric. The group is pretty chill so you can bring whatever you think is the most fun, they've got a decent balance already.
NN, welcome back. Saw your post. Refreshingly personal.. and polite. Are you interested in 5e low magic, low fantasy Swords & Sorcery?
Good to read that you are not just giving up on your interest in playing D&D. If you are just interested in the social aspect of D&D, I'm looking to host a minimalistic role-playing game called In Darkest Warrens and run a few D&D adventures with these rules. Would you be interested?
Thank you for the offer, but unfortunately, that is too late for me. While I may have the time, I like the sleep. Thank you though! Sounds interesting. I'm not sure what you mean by "low magic, low fantasy." Does this mean you will have a more grounding in reality? If so, it does sound interesting. What else can you tell me? Thank you. Um, I sort of glanced at what Darkest Warrens was. I didn't read it all, but I don't feel interested in it. Thank you for the offer, though. Thank you for the offer! It sounds interesting, but I don't think I'll apply. I actually did see this before when I manually looking for an open group. The page looked familiar. However, I do better in smaller groups. I can tell you put a lot of thought and planning into it. Good luck to you! Hope you all have fun. Darren P. said: Salutations! I am running a game called Stars Without Number. The system is based on the old school d&d so it should feel natural to play without an overwhelming number of new rules and concepts to grasp. As you may be able to tell from the title of the game it is a sci-fi setting. So you would have to be on board for a space game. I am trying to get a couple of sessions running. At least one of them should be able to accommodate a time that you are available. If it sounds interesting I encourage you to check out the link to the game listing. If you have any questions about the game, I have a forum post for that in the game listing. If you have any questions about how to make a certain character in the system or if it is possible, I have a forum post for that in the game listing as well. If you have any questions for me please shoot me a PM. Who knows, perhaps the fresh start you need is to try a new game? In any case I wish you the best of luck finding a group that you can have fun with again.
