[LFDM] Group of 5 Players Looking for 3.5/5e system (also open to the star wars systems)

Hello! Group of 5 friends who have played dnd (3.5) before with each other due to a bad experience with a DM (please dont impose furry stuff and make it weirdly sexual when none of us want that O_o) we have decided to try and find another DM, We are VERY interested in doing a star wars campaign in the near future (any setting unknown region, old republic, doesn't matter) But we are also very interested in a book campaign maybe to start it off see how it plays out and generally just have fun! we don't really know what we want on the roleplay/combat slider but uh please dont make it 95% world building so we are just sitting there listening to you tell the story while we twiddle our thumbs... yeah.

What I can offer is an excellent sci-fi setting that would allow you play any number of different kinds of magical space samurai (jedi, lol). Check out this Stars Without Number game and see if you think it would be interesting for you and your friends. There are a few options for games and timeslots so you should be able to find something to work but let me know what ya’lls availability looks like. You’re all in luck because with your experience with 3.5 it should be easy to get into this system. The basics of it are actually similar to old school D&amp;D so it will feel natural fairly quickly. I think the best part is it gives you a lot of flexibility to make stuff like interesting characters and situations. Hey,&nbsp; Long-time DM here, about 12 years DMing now, lots of star wars experience. I've been looking for a decent group for a while now. I have a good handful of prewritten modules I've been wanting to play through you could have your pick of. I've done FFG's star wars system, and Saga (more 3.5 based) so I'm down for whatever. I totally understand groups need to mesh decently, so id proposes a one-shot to start, and take it from there if you enjoy me as a DM and vice versa for players we can continue after that. We could do pre-gen characters if you want to jump right in, or I can walk you through character creation as well if that's what you prefer, it just might take a bit to get everyone on the same page with the rule system.&nbsp; As for setting in Star Wars, again ive done everything from The Old Republic to Clone Wars, Outer Rim Scum and Villany, Galactic Civil War, Unknown Regions, and everything in between so it's player's choice.&nbsp; Playstyle, I like a good mix of half combat and half RP for star wars, I think there is a lot of fun action sequences that star wars allows to be fun, but it's not going to be a full hack and slash, nor will there be 8 hours sessions of Senate debates. Mostly player-driven pacing, if youre enjoying blowing up troopers, battle droids, or hunting down Jedi we can keep doing that if it's boring then maybe you will get thrown into the Hutt dungeons for a while and plan an escape. Hey thanks for all the responses! I just wanna add that we are still looking as of now! I have talked to a bunch of great DMs but time constraints has been the downfall too most of them so I just want to add some FAQ:&nbsp; Will you consider a paid game? We are open to it but not to start of with, and I am pretty sure we would prefer not too but we are not 100% against. What timezone/time? Friday GMT+0 17:00 give or take a couple hours I think the lowest right now is 17:00 and highest (starting time mind you) is 20:00 we are looking for 3/4 Hour Games Weekly. Will you play with other players? This is a difficult one as we are a close knit group but we are not completely against another player joining us we feel it might not be the most enjoyable or maybe too nerve racking for them to join a 5 man group on that player and I don't really think it would be fair to them. Will try to answer all PMs and responses on this thread but it has been met with a overwhelming response! So its quite difficult! :P

Hey! I've been looking to get back into roleplaying (or GMing... Just being involved really!) after a time where it hasn't been possible. I have about 14 years of experience as a GM, mostly with things like D&amp;D (started with 3e), though I have moved away from D&amp;D entirely, so unless you'd be able to consider Pathfinder 2e, I'd probably be selling myself off on a Star Wars Campaign using the FFG rulesets (Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion and Force and Destiny... At least the first two anywuss, as I prefer non-force users). I have some experience with the systems, but I will admit it's been a while and I may have to "ease back into it". But I've been thinking of doing Star Wars for a while now actually. I live in Denmark (which is currently GMT+2 apparently), so really anywhere within your schedule would be possible for me. Fridays are also generally a good day for me. I love already formed groups, as I feel that allows more more and easier dynamics between characters.
