Looking for One or Two Players - Cogs of Fate (d20 Fantasy Steampunk - Custom System)

I am looking for one or two players interested in playing in my group's game, called Cogs of Fate. You might be interested if... - you're interested in learning the KISMET game system - a flexible d20 system where YOU decide what your character can do - you like the freedom to play whatever you want - a mad scientist, a renegade psychic, a dragon... the possibilities are endless - you like roleplaying-heavy games - you like a social game with exploration elements - you like tactical combat where you can create your own special attacks and combine them with the attacks of allies - you want to explore a vibrant fantasy world that incorporates steampunk technology - you want to play with the nicest group I have ever gamed with in my 10 years of tabletop gaming experience Cogs of Fate is run on Thursdays and/or Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time, using Roll20 for the map and dice rolls and Skype for voice chat. If any of that sounded interesting to you, we'd love to have you in our game.
Hi, I'm one of the players. I can vouch for both the system and the friendliness of the players. If you have any questions about the system I and the others will be happy to help. The group is great, meshes well together, and from a player side of things, the plots are interesting and very open for what we feel like doing at the time. Basically, he makes the world, we explore it however we want. Seriously, the system is extremely flexible as far as character creation goes. Our group has taken some awesome concepts and have roleplayed them out in some of the best ways I've seen so far in my gaming life time. Edit: If you want to get ahold of me for quicker answers to questions my Skype is Coolcat33333. Just let me know you're from roll20 and you're interested in Kismet. Double edit: We actually DO have a dragon in the party.
Hello. I can take a few actions. We don't have an Anthromorphic race in this world. We have the Anumi, which are more akin to those with animal ears and a tail (I am an Anumi, so it's totally cool). There aren't many "guidelines" however other than have Skype for voice chat. If you have Skype I can send you a Word Doc that can answer most of your questions I think, and I'm on right now as well if you want quick questions about the setting we're using. My Skype is in the post above.
How do I join!! O
Tim&tim C. said: How do I join!! O The best way would be to get in touch with the DM. Via either PM or Skype. (Probablly should PM him for his Skype info) Edit: I'm still on skype so if you add me I can send you the game rules to see if you're interested
You can send me a private message and I'll give you my Skype information - of you can message Cat here and he'll send you want you need. The next game isn't for a couple of days so that should give you plenty of time to read the rulebook and make a character. The system is very easy to use and supremely flexible, so don't worry if you're new to tabletop gaming. One of our players just joined a few days ago and he pretty much mastered the system in one session.
Im interested in this because it involves Steampunk which is very very intriguing. Though the only hesitation I am having about joining is that my timezone is GMT+8 since I am in the Philippines. And I tend to stay really quite during RP sessions :|
Have you already gotten the players you were looking for? Either way, I'd just like to say that, though I've never tried playing with a homebrew system before, this sounds interesting enough to make me want to try learning one.
We currently have 8 players in the group as of this moment, and that's pretty much the most I can handle at any given moment. Not every player shows up to every game, but I couldn't handle 9 PCs at once. If any players drop out or are kicked due to behavior, I will post here and allow new players on a first-come-first-served basis. Thank you all for expressing interest in the campaign, I really appreciate it and I hope you all find games that you will enjoy.
