More Info about the game here. Submit applications in the "applications" topic through this link or below in this topic: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/175461/alzerath-new-homebrew-world-start-date-tbd The start date and time I've chosen right now is a place holder, however, I'm only available in the evenings and weekends, so sessions will have to take place during those times. Most likely we will begin near the end of September. Hi there, My name is Matt and I'm planning to DM my very first campaign. I'm looking for 4-5 players who are interested in a nice blend of story, combat, and exploring, but with a touch of emphasis on the story. Roleplay as much as you're capable. I won't penalize you for being bad at voices or anything like that, but try and be true to the character you create. The main story will be a somewhat serious one, but any tomfoolery or silliness you come up with to get out of situations is totally allowed, and some of the side missions will be on the funnier side. FUN is the main objective here. I have the main story planned out already, although that can always change depending on what direction the party takes it and the type of players I end up choosing. I'm also adding the finishing touches on the world, but again, things can be added and removed depending on the interesting characters you people pitch me! ALL RACES AND CLASSES WILL BE ALLOWED, apart from homebrewed races and classes. Although, classes can be tinkered a bit to fit the story and character. For example, if you're an Air Genasi Sorcerer who wants his spells all to have the appearance of wind and want to reskin current spells, that's totally cool. The Setting: Alzerath is a country with five provinces. The main province is much larger and heavily populated than the other four and is also in what seems like a forever cold warlike state with them. Because of this, roughly 70-80% of the main province's military is dedicated to patrolling the four borders with the other provinces to avoid an invasion, meaning law and order has left to be upheld by cities and towns hiring mercenary company's to defend their land, keep the peace, and sometimes even save the country from disaster. Your story will begin on your first day in prison and your first mission will be to break out (not a spoiler since you'll find this out almost immediately). How you ended up in prison is totally up to you - could be anything from killing someone out of revenge to too many parking tickets. However, refrain from anything too unredeemable (serial murderer, sexual abuse, etc.) because A) to avoid making people too uncomfortable and B) redemption will be a key theme in the main story. I'll keep further story particulars to myself for now to avoid any spoilers and let your creativity fly when you're making for your characters. I'll review all applications and start messaging people during the middle of September for a follow-up chat in Discord to see if you'd be a good fit. Can't wait to read your pitches! -- Format Applications as Such -- Name: Matt Age: 25 Experience Playing D&D: Over a year now What you're looking to get out of this campaign: Just be honest. Better to be honest and not get picked then get picked and not have fun with the campaign. Race/Class: You'll be starting at level 3 so take this into account Backstory: Be as concise or as long as you like (but keep in mind, if it's 2000 words long, it better be f***ing good!). Include the crime you committed.
Hey there. Unfortunately, all the spots have now been filled. Thank you for your interest!
