I recently came up with the backstory for a nercromancer character that i'd like to play out. It would probably need some homebrewing as instead of being able to raise several thralls I'd only have the one which I pass off as my bodyguard. think of the character as Percy from Critical Role but without the deal with the devil and with the gun being an undead slave. I like games more focused on RP than anything so I like to create characters with complexity and the possibility for growth. I wouldn't be objectionable to trying them out in a one shot first, since I like to have a chance to get to know the character and how they work, and how their powers work. Especially since it might turn out to be something that just doesn't work. edit: I think of it like if frankensteins family used magic instead so years later after making money in mysterious ways they have dropped off in using their dark arts but the older generation still remembers. Or that family in Shaman King that would use dead people to fight for them.
