[LFDM][5e] Looking for a DM to run a Mature, RP Focused Weekly 5e Game.

I'm looking for someone who wants to DM a game where the focus is on role playing, character development and interaction between the players and with NPCs. I've been playing 5e recently and having a good time of that, but I'd also be very interested in Pathfinder. The point, and what I'm going for here is a game that's story and plot driven, with a mature DM and players without power/meta gaming or any OOC drama. If you're even remotely interested in running a game where you can create complex NPCs that your party will interact and roleplay with instead of just murdering or stealing from, and developing a rich narrative that has the potential to evoke emotional responses from your players I encourage you to PM me or comment here. I'm just desperate for actually Role Playing as opposed to Roll playing and I'd happily take the time to find players who shared our interests. I know this comes across as a but of a rant but I've joined many different roll 20 games and the result is always the same so I'm taking matters into my own hands and trying to build a group from the ground up. PM me for details. I've been playing in a -great- 5e game for the past 6 months or so. Unfortuntately, due to a change in my schedule I'm no longer able to make it to that game. Ideally, I'd like to play Monday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings at around 6:30pm EST or so. What am I offering? I'm happy to do the lionshare of the legwork involved in setting up the logistics game. Things like finding other likeminded players, getting a discord setup etc. I've done this twice before and it's been great and ended up as a long running game each time. Feel free to add me on discord if you're interested in running somehting like this. ParadigmVoid#6893 *Please note, any replies to this posting about paid games are not welcome. I am not interested in paying to play in a game with a DM who I have never worked with before. Thank you.
I’m not a DM but would be interested in this kind of game when you’re looking for players and if you’ll consider a D&D newbie.
Hi! I'm looking to start a Tyranny of Dragons 5E campaign that plays as frequently as players are available, so 3 nights a week would be cool. I'm also EST and that would be a decent time to play at, although earlier might be better for me, maybe weekends too? Basically I agree with you 100% - it can be hard to find players that want to play the game of role-playing, rather than tabletop hack'n'slash or mass thieving with a sense of OOC urgency. One big allure of 5E for me is the return to Faerun and its more traditional style, with a lot of lore and local flavor going back centuries. The Tyranny of Dragons campaign appeals to me because it has the most authentic D&D feel with its selection of monsters and worldly political intrigue, world-moving events, floating castle in the sky, Red Wizards of Thay, the Zhentarim, etc Also, it really plays up the difference between the dragon colors. One of the most epic things you can do in D&D is communicate with a dragon, and we get to do that in the first chapter. There are opportunities to expand that beyond what the book has written, which I'm eager to take up. Let me know if you'd be interested, and you'll definitely get a favorable application review for having written this post: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7771796/lfp-5e-daily-tyranny-of-dragons-keepers-of-the-secret-hoard BTW, I already have a discord, is the connectivity better than what Roll20 offers? I've noticed one of my biggest qualms with watching games online is the audio quality of some players and the latency between reactions.
