The impediments for homebrew compendium expansion are partly technical and partly legal. Technical in that the back end for the Compendium and the Charactermancer are not simple nor easy to use. Support and technical modifications would be problematic to say the least. Thanks for that, The hardest part would be that the Charactermancer requires you to pick a Race and Class in the process so right off the bat, there's difficulty if you are trying to use a homebrew race or class.
