Hello! I am Savage, and I'm an experienced GM that likes to tinker with older settings. Space 1889 for those who do not know is an alternate history/steampunk setting in the year 1889 in which various older scientific concepts, which were disproven in our own timeline, have provided answers to some of the mysteries of the Universe. Now the Colonial Empires of Europe, and the interests from other powers such as America and Japan, have spread out across the dying Red Planet of Mars (for its spices, and most precious liftwood) and in many cases oppressing the local Martian inhabitants. In short, I would say 'Imagine the film 'Zulu' [1964] but on Mars'. There is more to it than that, but a quick look through the page on Wikipedia will provide a concise starting point for anyone interested. What I am looking for is a individuals or a group of players who enjoy a heavy focus on roleplay and want to attempt a setting that they have likely not tried before. Other than that, I'm a pretty relaxed GM. However those available around 4-10 PM GMT on a weekday or saturday (just a rough guide, not the actual length of sessions) would be preferable. As for system, I will be using a custom system which a friend of mine has worked on. It is skill-advancement based, and is designed to be minimalist and unintrusive which is what I feel is the best for creating a good roleplaying experience that maintains momentum. If interested, comment below or send me a message here on Roll20. Thanks, Savage
