I’m one of those GMs who use Roll20 as a replacement for a physical tabletop for in-person games. My current setup involves a GM login, a dummy “Players” login via chrome’s incognito mode (finally, a second use for that!) and using a window logged into the player account on my tv. This is certainly functional, however, I’m using a lot of resources by having two instances of the same thing running simultaneously, and this may not be possible at all for folks with budget/older computers. Thus, my suggestion: In the in-game settings (maybe near the transmogrifier button) have a button for a multiple screens, single login mode. Doesn’t have to detect user hardware: A player-friendly pop-up window would be fine. Fewer UI elements on the player window: Since the GM’s rolls are discretionary by nature, and everyone is in the same room with this mode, there’s no need for the chat UI, or the avatars. I’ll be honest, I haven’t looked for an API to handle this. If someone knows of one that works like this I will gladly use it. This does, however, seem like a neat feature to have baked in. As of this edit (Oct 13th), I have looked through the API catalog (wow folks, thanks for all of those, there's some real gems in there) and found nothing to facilitate my suggestion.
