Local mute for WebRTC client

This might be more of a suggestion for WebRTC, but can we get a local mute? Right now the behavior is inconsistent when people have only a microphone vs having a webcam (you can mute one but not the other), and local echoes are super-annoying if two/three people are playing from one location. Edit: Google Hangouts only has global mute (if person A mutes person B, person C can't hear B either). I'd like local mutes, where if A and B are in the same house, they can mute each other, but person C can still hear both.

Hangouts also has a toolbox app (the exact name slips my mind at the moment) which lets you adjust everyone's volume locally, individually. You could set your roommate's volume to minimum, effectively muting them. Also, FWIW, WebRTC is simply an API developed by the W3C (much like HTML5). The built-in chat used by Roll20 uses WebRTC, but the service is TokBox . I don't know whether TokBox's system handles local mute or not.
First, thank you. Second, it's just the Hangout Toolbox . I'll give it a shot - looks perfect!
There is actually some adjustments coming in the next update to the Roll20 WebRTC client that will allow individual local muting among other things.
