[LFG] Wendy's made a Tabletop Game?

So yeah- Wendy's, the burger chain, released a tabletop RPG. After looking through it, it actually sounds kinda fun. Anyone interested in running one of these? https://www.feastoflegends.com/
Not gonna lie, this looks amazing. I have no idea why a burger chain would put this much effort into making a tabletop game, but I'm so, so glad they did. If you can't find anyone to run it, I will, but honestly, I'd just love to play it. Keep me in mind if you find enough interest to get this started!
I have read the PDF, and am interested in playing it as well, as a for fun game, but I would also be interested in GMing, if no one else will. It seems DND lite.
Sounds like a game to relish! ;-)
Oof, that pun...
I could maybe run it, but I'd really prefer to just play. I work 12h/6d weeks, so my amount of free time is pretty limited- and I'm already using most of it building a 3.5e campaign. :P
If anyone's still interested in playing though this game, I'd be willing to build it up in Roll20. I have access to a Pro account, so I can make the custom sheet and such. The game seems pretty straightforward, so I'd be willing to GM for it. It shouldn't be a long-form game and will probably only last a few sessions, but I could probably modify it to be longer or shorter depending on the groups preference. Let me know what times/dates are going to be best for ya'll.

Would Tuesday evening EDT/EST work?
The only day I have free is mondays, from about 1pm-11pm US mountain time.

Both of those times are good for me atm, so maybe we could just have two games? I think going with 2-4 players for a game would work. Also, while this game has a lot of cool things and could probably go longer, I think I'm going to aim for it to be a 3-session campaign (beginning, middle, end), which each session being about 4 hours long? I think that might be a good time frame to really get some fun out of this game without overplaying it. I could probably get it all set up on Roll20 in about 2 weeks - so we can maybe aim for a start date on Oct 28/29th? As long as there's 2 players for each session, we can get started. Soooo... how bout this: PARTY A (Voice Only) | Mondays (Oct 28, Nov 4, Nov 11) @ 7:00-11:00pm Central (6-10pm Mountain Time) The Captain (?) Robert (Order of the Beef) Open (Optional) Open (Optional) PARTY B (Text Only) | Tuesdays (Oct 29, Nov 5, Nov 12) @ 7:00-11:00pm Central (8pm-Midnight Eastern Time) Helen P. (?) Rerednaw (?) Open (Optional) Open (Optional) Let me know if those times need adjusting. Otherwise, ya'll should glance over the Player's Handbook portion of the Feast of Legends PDF The Captain linked above. Since this is gonna be short-form, I'm NOT going to have a Session 0 - instead, I'm gonna let you build your characters ahead of time (or else just use the pre-rolled sheets the game provides). If you guys are still up for it, reply with: Player Name: (what to call you out-of-character) Character Name: (your in-character name) Character Order: (Class from FoL) Desired Party: (A or B time slot) Roleplay vs. Combat: (which way do you lean?)
We only have 3 players so far, plus GM, so that's not enough for 2 games. Within The Captain's open time, I could do before 7pm Eastern on Mondays.
I was hoping to try to gain new players in the 2 weeks to fill the slots. I wouldn't be able to make that time, unfortunately. I work until 5pm CT, and with the commute home, 7pm CT is the earliest comfortable time for me - I might be able to swing 6pm CT, though I'll probably be eating for the first few minutes in that case. So, if it's that early you may need to find someone else to run it, sorry :(
Yeah, scheduling is always the trickiest part. :-P I'm down for mondays pretty much whenever. I'll try posting on reddit's LFG too, see if we can drum up some interest. :)
I'm already booked Mondays and Wednesdays. I'd like to give Tuesdays a shot. I have prior commitments but can break free by around 7 PM CT. Will advise if that becomes a no-go at least a day prior to game.
Player Name: Robert Character Name: TBD Order: I would prefer to play one of the Order of the Beef, but it depends on what I roll during character creation. Time: Either day would be fine for me (even though it would be late for me both days) I am more of a roleplay learner, but can learn the unusual combat system as well.
We have enough people to play, so that's excellent! I went ahead and created the game (still a WIP, but getting there), so y'all can check it out here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/180594/keepin-it-fresh-never-frozen We can still fit more people though! Anyone who wants to go on a silly fantasy-fast-food adventure should definitely join up!
Will there be fries with that? ;-)

Wasn't sure if I should post here or in the link to the game dealie, so I'll do both! :D Player Name [age, pronouns]: Captain, 37, he/him Character Name: Surbacon O'Porkham, the socially inept lover of books, cute fuzzy animals, and Enthusiastic-Murderous-Murdering-of-Extra-Murder to the badguys, animal abusers, and people who take his food without asking first. That's just common courtesy. (Rolled one REALLY GOOD roll, and a bunch of terrible ones. Soooo may as well go all in for Hitting Of Things! :P ) Character Order: Order of The Baconator Desired Party: A Roleplay vs. Combat: Me Want Hit Stuff! I've been DM-ing d&d games for so long, I just wanna turn off my brain and hit things until they fall down. I also have made an editable PDF of the FoL character sheet, if anyone wants to use it. EDIT: And there's a subreddit! :D https://www.reddit.com/r/FeastofLegends/ It looks like Wendy's is actually supporting the subreddit, and may release rules errata to clarify things. From the subreddit, it looks like "graceful" weapons get your Grace bonus added to attack rolls, and "heavy" weapons get your strength bonus added to attack rolls. There's also mention of "crossbows" in the Orders, but they aren't listed under weapons. Still, nice to see there's "support", so to speak, from the "dev team", lol! EDIT EDIT: Confirmed by Wendy's devs- add Strength bonus to melee attack and damage rolls (but NOT for light or graceful weapons), add Grace bonus to graceful weapon attack and damage rolls. Woo!
Nice, thanks! How could we get a copy of that editable PDF of the FoL character sheet?

Helen P. said: Nice, thanks! How could we get a copy of that editable PDF of the FoL character sheet? Totally! DM me an email address to send it to. Make sure to have "Highlight Fields" selected on whatever pdf viewer program you use. :-) EDIT: May take a day or two, workin' a ton of overtime today and it's currently "bedtime was four hours ago" lol
