[LFP][5E][CST] DM LF Players Interested in a Narrative Driven Homebrew World

My name is Kira. I've been a forever player with a lot of experience under my belt - from the good and the bad - and an itch to make that full-leap into DMing. With only a few one-shots I've DMed, I am looking to finally start a serious on-going group that can grow with me as we navigate a complex and ambition driven world. So admittedly, I will ask for patience as I fulfill these new shoes, however, I have been a player at many games of new DM's so I am thankfully confident that I can avoid a lot of the most common pitfalls that often behoove new DMs. I am looking to fill the game with 4-6 players of complimentary interests with each other and myself. A large part of why I've decided to make the leap is that I've found myself feeling like I'm missing a part of the tabletop and roleplaying experience that I desire, and part of this post is trying to see if a few others feel the same way. &nbsp; My favorite stories to read and my favorite stories to tell is about, to use a perhaps overused quote, "the human heart in conflict with itself." I love complexity and the difficult journey. I am a fan of the zero to hero mantra, but I am of the belief that the process should not feels like an assumption and one instead full of precarious pitfalls, damned temptations, and the most important element of all - a choice against all the odds. I am looking for a group of players that want to delve into a world drenched in mysteries where what you know and what you don't can make or break your ambitions, that have a desire to carve a niche of the world with your narrative choices, that have an enjoyment of lengthy and intricate lore, and that have a will to overcome crippling challenges that come with the path to greatness. A few years in the making, the homebrew world you will find yourself in is its own living and breathing entity, and much like life, the story is player-driven. There is no main quest. The world is a sea of chaos, each piece with its own ambitions that will play out, but where you drive your ship is entirely your own choice. For me, there is a great importance in incorporating PCs into the world, and what you put into your character's backstory and the choices you make in character creation will influence my story design. &nbsp; For the more nitty gritty details, while I will be using all official 5e material such as the PHB and Xanathars, there will be a lot of homebrew elements that extend beyond the scope of these materials. The world will feature a custom pantheon, a healthy dose of superstitions, fantastical creatures of ages old and present, and many NPCs with their own goals and ambitions. I do not strive for a 1:1 ratio of realism to our own history, but I do strive for internal consistency of the world that I have built. The game will mostly be theater of the mind, with a few maps here and there, and lots of visual aid through images. There are a few restriction on playable races. All PHB races are accepted, in addition, these races can be played: firbolg, aasimar, genasi, and goblin. While all of these races will retain their normal traits and stats, it is important to note that because this is a homebrew world, their origin do not necessarily match up with the Forgotten Realm lore and how they came to be can be utterly different. &nbsp; Well, if you find any of this interesting, and you've read this far then maybe this is a right fit for you. I have a few different slots for date and time and what precise date it'll be will likely depend on the player's schedule and desires as well. But likely, it will either be Monday or Sunday evening starting at 7-8pm CST and will go between 3-4 hours each session. I have a great character lined up that I'm really interested in adventuring with. She's a tiefling wild magic sorcerer and way of the four elements monk who believes that life is about the balance between the laws of the elements and the chaos of magic and how to maneuver between both.&nbsp; I've been playing DnD 5e for 2 and a half years now and table top games for 3 and a half. I love both roleplaying and combat and I would say my interests lay between 70/30 RP over combat to 60/40 RP over combat. I'm really excited to embark on a new adventure if you'll have me.&nbsp;

Hello, My name is Evan. I am fairly new to DnD. My first game was with some friends playing 3.5. Sadly there was little to no actual story or character interaction within that game, mostly just combat back to back. I felt a bit crestfallen at this and left that group. I love a good story with twists and turns, and would positively enjoy roleplaying my character. Speaking of, My Character is a Tiefling bard simply known as 'Hyme' who has made his way through life with manipulation and deceit, however he desires to turn over a new leaf as it were and mend what he has broken, all the while searching for knowledge lost. Hey Kira, I'd love to play a character in your campaign but the game page has been taken down. Please let me know if you have a spot available for Monday! I would like to play a character who's race, class, and background can be flexible depending on the needs of the party and world building but his main point for role play will be that he is Lawful Neutral aligned and unsure of which path to take in order to bring himself honor or power. I'd like to develop this character based on events that take place within the world that affect him directly to take him down the LG path of protecting the people who need it or the LE path of gaining power for himself and his closest allies because his trust was betrayed too often. I should probably also specify, I will never play against fellow party members as an evil aligned character. It's Lawful Evil, not Lawful Jerk. I mostly just would like to find a regular group to play with on Mondays of mature people that play to have fun, but not at the expense of others. I enjoy role playing as much as tactical combat so a good balance of both would be ideal for me, although I still tend to role play even while in combat. Please let me know!

Hello! I am a “seasoned” player. Or old depending on how you look at it, 😂. I haven’t played in years but I’m interested in getting back into it. I’ve run games and played but I just want to roll with someone’s world. I believe everyone’s job at a game is to make sure everyone is having fun, including the GM. That doesn’t mean there can’t be conflict, just not rules lawyering, arguments or player Narcissism where it’s not fun for anyone. Just looking to maybe develop a character and bring something to the table for everyone else. I can fill any hole that’s needed. Happy to play any class that’s needed or any alignment that’s needed for balance or cohesion. I’ve played em all! I don’t enjoy screwing over the group so even when I play evil I like to find a reason why they are loyal to their comrades, even if they don’t like it. Anyway, let me know.
