Chat weirdness

It seems like my game's chat is broken. I can't get rolls or text to show up in-game, though things seem to be fine when I go to look at the whole chat history. I'm also getting weird timestamps on my chat; stuff from yesterday just says, e.g., "5:40PM", but then when I try to chat anything the times update to say "October 24, 2019 5:40PM", which is almost four hours in the future despite the message being from yesterday. No idea if it's relevant, but I was trying to learn how to make roll templates. I've commented out my roll template code, turned off 3D dice, tried using both Firefox and Edge...any suggestions?

This is a corrupted chat archive. You (or the creator of your game) will need to clear your chat archive from the settings drop down on the game's splash screen. Note this is NOT the clear current chat log available from the in game settings menu.
That worked, thanks! Is there some way to avoid this in the future? I'm still building the campaign so I didn't lose anything of value, but I don't want to have to erase everything again mid-campaign.

Corrupted chat archives just happen, usually, but not always due to a malformed command. Not much you can do to prevent it from happening, but you can always download your chat archive before erasing it.

Yep, I tend to cause then when I'm experimenting with complicated macros. When I do that I turn talktomyself on so the problem at least isn't saved to the chat record.
